Bring-Back-Powell 15,576 Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 We've done some stinking bad drafting and trading over the last 10-15 years, but getting Hibberd for a second round draft pick would have to go down as one of the best trades in recent of years, of any club. I wonder how many other traded players got an AA in their first year at his new club. The question now is whether he can maintain his form over the next 3 years or if 2017 was his peak.
Ethan Tremblay 31,393 Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Quickly became one of my favourite players:
Demon_JB 1,389 Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Imagine if Essendon still had Hibberd, Ryder and Carlisle.. Geeez.

Fair, creative, driven, hard-working, effective, team man, short recoveries, fast hand and foot teamwork, covering for an immobile fullback. reliable. How far can the accolades go? Happy birthday, Michael.

Don't forget how effective and unexpectedly creative/lethal young Melksham (again from the Dons) has become - and fairly consistently across a season, too.
YesitwasaWin4theAges 6,840 Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 Absolute bit of genius from the trading department to snare this gem of a player. Happy Birthday Hibbo.

Hibberd and Melksham more than handy and best of friends as well.
