Draft is going NOTHING like any of the phantoms predicted

Very even crop.

Not such a bad year to have a handful of second rounders...

fingers crossed we get houlahan at 29

Interesting pick. Has pedigree and sounds like a competitive beast.

Fritsch!!!!

Yeh!

Bayley Fritsch stays in the red and blue!

Yeahhhhhh Bailey!!!!!! So god damn happy about that!!!!!

Fritsch probably would have gone to WCE otherwise ....

Interesting pick by MFC ... can take a mark but not sure about the ground skills

Spargo is very short.

Yep. My concern too. Before his injury he was touted as a top 10 pick. Will be interesting. Surely he can only play small fwd or back at that size. Will be great at our fwd pressure game and might get games as early as next year

172cm so (very) small forward, compared to Brent Harvey on AFL site.

Caleb Daniel hopefully

Charlie Spargo 175cm

Missed the season after shoulder surgery but known for his attack on the footy and goal sense. Originally zoned to GWS but now available to any club. Turns 18 the day after the draft.

Wayne Carey, only shorter and I’m not sure what position he plays.

Small fwd. Tenacious. Part of fwd academy in the Riverina area which got pulled away from them at the start of the year.

Touted as an early pick but underwent shoulder surgery which has seen him slide.

Great pressure. Tackles HARD. Even at his height.

Not sure on speed. Quite well built. Massive thighs

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
