Wins will get it

I'll take 44,000 this year.

Let's make finals, win a final and we'll be able to surpass the 45,000 barrier next year.

50,000 is very gettable by 2020.

I think finals will see mfc hitting 50k.

I reckon there's still too many scarred supporters out there that won't come back purely with one finals appearance, unless we go deep.

Just met neighbours going thru a fence issue and in general conversation we realized we follow Melbourne. They are not members but will join next year if we have a good year. Good result on the fence ensued. Then went to the Alfred for eye checkup (make sure I see free kicks on the other side of the ground) and the lady looking after me also followed Melbourne (I talk a lot) and she said her whole family of eight members  follow Melbourne but not one is a member. Do well this year and we should re-connect with many supporters who with a push will join. All up to the boys on the ground and the FD moving forward. A sleeping giant may just awake.

No change for nearly two weeks?.

Either staff are on holidays or prospective members saw the writing on the wall after the Port game...

Just a few weeks till the cut off date.  Its good to break last years record but oh, what might have been...

Finally cracked 44,000.  On the basis of the increase in memberships last year up to the cutoff at the end of July we could crack 45,000.

Yeh, well based on earlier rates of increase I picked 43,500 so I'm already happy. The last month has probably killed 45k off.

Is that your fourcast ?

We need to start getting in the ear of these young dejected Carlton supporters.

If you see a sad looking kid wearing a Carlton scarf, hand him a finals pamphlet and ask him if he’s discovered Gawny yet.

A lot of people go through "Fence Issues" its called Age. Going through a few myself! Best invest in a new Fence rather than haggle over a repair job I reckon! A new fence gives renewed hope, a touch of optimism and knowledge that in times of Tornado type winds, Blistering sun and Fierce rain a good "Fence" will endure and create a good vibe!

Same with our footy team !!!

We make finals this year and I continue to shell out my hard earned! Gutted last year!

Up until last week, we had a chance of picking up a few St Kilda supporters as well! Little hope of that now! ?

It's best to address ones fence before one's neighbour's tree falls across said fence and one young cow decides to go for a wander in yonder neighbour's sprawling estate

Look I don't want to be pertinent but I think its all relevant !

At that personal level, I have four MFC supporters in my family, with my wife and two of my sons avid supporters making up three members and one who would be if he was to live in Viccy more permanently. One drives to games from Sydney, my wife and I drive from Adelaide. The two of us will be at the Interstate Members function at the Sporting Globe hotel in Richmond, this coming Saturday and will be moving along to the Doggies game at the 'G soon after to bask in the glory of another win. Just love the footy. This might be my sixth trip for the year! Other than that, it's Foxtel.

So it's:

1. Daddy

2. Mummy

3.Son No. 2

4. Son No. 4.

As the grandchildren proliferate and grow, there's gotta be another 6 avid members on the trot to support and join the MFC. My daughter is impartial to the rough game, but her little son, at 6 months, already has the Dees' beanie and scarf, and not much choice in the matter. Another two children of mine got the Geelong bug years ago but Son No. 3 - and his sons - seem to think their dad knows everything, including all of the Cats. Never mind.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.
