So he's trained poorly on 'one occasion' in the last nine years! Obviously needs to be traded for whatever we can get otherwise his standards might be contagious!

When did I say he's trained poorly once in 9 years? I've only been to training twice. Stop being ridiculous and twisting words.

This could be JW's version of teenage angst

Like any individual and their employment, it's what you make of it.

AFL footballers have it much better than the average Joe.

There has occurred no trade yet ( formalised )

That is miles away from no takers.

At least 4 clubs are interested but one far more than the rest.

As with many things in trade week one trade may wait on others.

All those wishing to see the back of Jack, your wait is not much more.

As much as Jack has had to quickly acclimatise to a new beginning so do others elsewhere. As such some trades are either stalling or in flux. Possibly tomorrow or monday a number of required moves will happen( or start ) and the the pain of the expectant anguished will be extinguished.

Quite possibly locker #4 is already empty.

The jackals will have their day.

The dog has self inflicted all wounds so far BB.

Agree itshould be over soon I hope.

However he will go for a very poor pick hardly reinforcing some people on here deluded views of his impact at this club

I, for one, would keep Jack and see if he really wants to be here with his "mates" and sharing the glory

Unfortunately I really believe Jack  still hasn't got the ticker and would rather go elsewhere where maybe he can tease another group of supporters before moving on to his future passion in fashion.

My son informs me he saw Jack earlier in the day at a driving range...in good form and good spirits. Make of that watt you will.

Off to the Zeb’s?

I see both sides of the argument, but this thread is getting ridiculous now.

Where is the actual evidence that Jack is a culture killer? Or a terrible trainer? Or went on a trip to Bondi?

The poor training and the Bondi trip 'analysis' both derived from GNF's post a while back - someone who I might add, a good few of you wont have a bar of at around this time of year.

GNF says he went to Byron, one person later repeats that as Bondi and now everyone says Bondi. GNF says his rehab was hampered/delayed/not ideal and that morphs into him being a terrible trainer, thats why he's no good....  yadda yadda yadda

What next?

I can kill that speculation... I live in Sydney and can categorically state that I did not see any sign of Jack.

The truth...though probably not 'next'

Meanwhile there'll be the rest of Jack's career.

Maybe we add football to war....the first casualty ....

I think the point was that one swallow doth not a spring make. Your sample size is tiny (and probably subjective).

It's fact he went to Byron for a day trip to do a shoot in early July for his Skwosh club shorts... Big deal really

Just interested to know how many of those that would trade Jack for his off-feild behavior would have sacked Oliver after his drink driving at the start of the season and how many of those still would now.

Rubbish comparison and you know it.  Oliver is a kid who needed to learn a lesson.  Not only did he learn from it, he smashed it on the track and we've seen the benefits of that.

Jack is a 9 year veteran who still needs struggles for consistency in many facets of his game, both on and off field, when he should be setting the example for the kids.

It was byron, and i alerted this forum to it at the time. Jack posted a Instagram 'story' showing himself up there. A 'story' is temporary and deletes when a new story is added or after 15 hours. I said at the time that jack was silly posting it and it proved to be so.

Which is why I'll back the judgement of the FD, after all, they're the ones trying to offload him.

Not convinced on Goodwin just yet but I rate Mahoney highly. Let's see.

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
