GAME DAY - Round 4, 2017

Featured Replies

Put Petracca, Hunt, Salem or even Vince in the midfield. We need effective players in our midfield. Get Tyson and Viney out of there. I don't care if these guys have 100 kicks a game - they go no where.

Simon Goodwin

made viney captain simply to make a statement= vineys form has fallen away massively

chamged the game style to be more attacking = not scoring any more and defense is non existent

consistent mistakes at selection and multiple players have gone backwards

Say what you want about our D, but it's our mids letting it go in and our mids that have ZERO confidence in our forward structure, we are zero chance of marking it forward

Still in shock about that quarter.

That was a superb mark Jack Watts.

"Jack Watts has never taken a pack mark".

This is why I have been calling for Pedo so many times.

Watts should not ruck when Hogan is out

Its a no brainer. Where do the FD think the goals are going to come from.

Zero chance we win this and it just cost us 40,000 members Goodwin just got schooled

Nice one Brendan.

Good jump off the ship.

Jack Watts is a true leader. Last week and now this week, when the team needed him he stood up. Sheer grit

Good move with Trac in the middle.

It only took 8 goals to zip to make a change but better late they say.

No matter what happens, these ridiculous handballs to teammates under pressure have to stop. They happen way too often and cost us dearly.

I hate it when we make it look easy, like we did in the second quarter, because no other side gets more ahead of themselves than the dees....unbelievable. I bet freo don't take the foot off the accelerator in the final quarter.

James Brayshaw is describing inserting a knitting needle into his noose or some such wisdom .

Bristle has too many in jokes for me .

Wayne Carey is the most intelligent of the trio.I am camping with only MMM as communication.

Camping is like hell with added insects.

These clowns are unbearable.

Text descriptions will be appreciated .

Players have no excuses anymore , stability , development etc at the club is present .. Wtf is wrong with these players ..  have they gotten ahead of themselfs? Have enough as 20 yr member & a decade of a train wreck!

Handed them that goal. On a silver platter

We had God damn ball at the 50, we overuse it to the point we turn it over.

I can't believe this [censored] club sometimes.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
