And his kicking?

Agreed unfortunately. Belongs at CHF.

That was garbage.

Give your  paychecks players/coaches to charity.

1 goal followed by 6 consecutive behinds to finish the game. Just digging and twisting that knife a little deeper.

What's up with Bernie? He's a shell of himself? Making inexcusable basic areas by foot and hand

Well it was a much better season despite the poor effort today.

Onwards for 2017 pleas Dees.

He is a very poor half back and has been all year, needs to be given a role in the midfield to play his best football

....and OUTCOACHED......again !!!

Favourites against weaker opposition, who have lost 9 in a row, and can barely score.

Finals chance on the line.

No running, no work rate, no urgency, horrific decision making.

Let's leave one extra defender back all day.

Couldn't have performed worse. So mentally weak STILL.

Soooo far from the top 8.

CHB?  Frost forward for a while

I am sitting on my couch speechless, with what feels like an eel in my stomach. I am so annoyed I can hardly type. What was that today? How do the coaches and players account for that?

Decision making and kicking was a lesson in errors.

Yeah I realised that after posting.

Where were they taken?

Forward of the play.

Foxtel was woeful today. They were openly barracking for Carlton.

They are obsessed with replays too - so you miss most of the stoppage work which is very frustrating when it essentially decides the game. Really poor direction. Seven is better at not being replay obsessed.

We've been saying that every year since 1964

So much to play for this week and what do we turn up with.

absolute shite.

going to be hard to get up again next year.

Me too.I have to keep myself going.

That hurts us becoming a destination club this offseason - a team of complete mental fade outs.

Spare me. If you can't get up for next year based on what we've shown this year then you never will.

We had a flat day against a team that had their best day of the season. Young midfielders looked shot.

We had a bad day, but can we quit the histrionics.

The umpiring has been atrocious just like us.

Just looked the stats. 5 frees to us, 20 to Carlton!!!! Are we that dirty?

Don't mention this loss or the one to Essendon then.

Let's talk about our [censored] weak leaders then.

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
