Like most GWS cast-offs he will probably be linked to Carlton, but we have some strong links and NEED some pace like that which he provides.

Haven't watched a LOT of him, and I'm not sure of his ability to win contested footy, but I reckon he'd be a strong target for mine, considering I don't think Josh Kelly or Lachie Whitfield are realistic targets.

I think Hoskin-Elliot is worth strongly considering. He has pace, which is so important given the number of goals being kicked over the back. Also contracted I think.

When he plays, he has 5 minutes in each game which is really really good - but he is all "cameo" as far as I have seen

It's a yes from me.   Great in the air, quick and I think would be in our best 22. 

He's quick and can kick goals. We need those players

I think he would add a lot to our midfield. Quick outside player who can find the goals. Doesn't mind an overhead pack mark also. Yes from me.

You're talking about pick 4 in 2011, in line behind about 20 talented GWS mids... not sure where the correlation is between that and what you're saying.
Kristian Jaksch is a soft key tall with a bad work ethic, Prismal was a slow hardball winning mid riddled with injuries.
Neither are much like Hoskin-Elliot.

This one surprises me - I thought he'd get more field time....

I'd have him.  

Reminds me of Steve Johnson.  First few years pretty average with only glimpses of magic.

Nearly gets traded to Collingwood, fails the medical - wins 3 flags and a Norm Smith.

I only meant that we have pinched Frost, Tyson and Bugg from GWS over time.
And those deals, including the Hogan deal, means we obviously have a good working relationship with them in terms of trading.

Reminds me of Cale Morton.

Cale Mortin went pick 4. Big deal. And his stats are way better than WHE.

He has done nothing since being drafted to suggest he has a future. 52 games in 5 years averaging 8 kicks?

He's fast, has an engine and can kick goals.

Another o'rourke in my view. Gws will no doubt get a pick around 12-20 but I just don't see this guy possessing enough outside of "pace" to make it. 

If we were to ask about a gws player this year, it would be Paul Ahern. Ruptured acl late in 2015 so would be ripe for start of pre season, although contracted until end of 2017, could be valued about 15-25. Again, a high price but I think he has more weapons than whe

Supporters are always quick to make up their minds about players who have been on lists for years but have had limited exposure at AFL level and haven't shown a great deal.

I'm certainly guilty of that. 

However, GWS as a club are an outlier. The obvious reason being that they possess so much more talent on their list than any opposition club within the AFL. In fact it's a joke how much talent they have.

There's a reason their seconds side win by close to 100 points a week every week. The club is a gold mine of talent and we'd be mad not trade for players who would complement our group.

Will-Hoskin Elliott is exactly the 'type' of player we need to inject into our midfield mix. We're a really heavily contested midfield group, we're certainly not quick and it's clear to me that we're now at the stage of our list building where we can introduce these specialty type of players and give them really defined roles. The contested part of our game is sorted.

We apparently do have a good relationship with GWS and I wouldn't be surprised, to see us trade another player from them, with them improving their draft position again.

I swear he tore us apart at the G couple of years ago.

Wouldn't mind WHE depending on the price, but agree 100% on Paul Ahern.  Better ball user than WHE and can win his own ball.

If we could shake either Ahern or Pickett out, we'd go a long way toward rounding out our midfield.

I do not exaggerate when I say Jaksch is perhaps the worst AFL player in the last decade, at the very least.
