Nine day break.  We are a better team and it will be disappointing if we do not smash them.

Danger game as Pies are in better form now. If we lose this one it will be a big let down and won't have many winnable games left.

Depends on who plays well tomorrow.  If Kennedy has a ripper then I see him as an automatic call up for Harmes.

What about Grimes and Dunn?  Not necessarily offering anything different to the others.  If ANB has another big game does he also come back into the side, or have a few like Trengove gone past him now?

Wait to see who plays well at Casey.

Outs. Harmes and o.mcd

ins.Dunn for o.mcd (finally).

To replace Harmes, either of ANB, Grimes, Kennedy or Mitch White.

Ins: Lumumba, Kennedy, Pedersen, Viney (hoping for a quick recovery)

Outs: Harmes, O.McDonald, Dawes, Gartlett

Lumumba and Viney are a long way off. Pedo has had pneumonia has been very unwell.

I love Kent but he needs to come out.

I'm surprised he's not copping more heat. He's a lazy, lazy footballer. You watch his game today and you'll note his lack of second efforts.

How, what happened to Lumumba?

Bad concussion. I heard repeating migranes.

No change....unless Bernie cops a week?

No chance of that.  He barely touched Smith and it was an open hand.  Complete joke of a report from a Hawthorn loving umpire.

Would have preferred Grimes to Harmes today. Same applies next time.

This is Melbourne we're talking about....I wouldn't be surprised if he gets life.

What happen to Lumumba……. will go the way o the dodo bird !!!!  Woods are playing better don't expect us to win.

Depends a lot on Casey, but I'd drop Harmes for Kennedy, I'd personally drop OMac but it's not going to happen, and I'd look at resting one of Hunt or Wagner and giving a game to the best performer out of ANB, Grimes and Michie.

Harmes is the only stand-out to be dropped, IMO. Kent was better and I don't think we'll drop two half forwards in the same week, at least he improved on last week.

I'm not sold on the argument that Dawes is any better than Pedersen was, and Pedersen is a better second ruck than Watts (who is not a long term second ruck option). But I'd give Dawes another game or two first.

He put his elbow into Mitchell's head right before that though so he could still find himself suspended.

Isn't he the maggot who favoured Bulldogs 17:1 frees?

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
