Bernie was cited by the ump on the night........The rest will be looked at by the mrp

Not sure if this has been discussed before on other threads since yesterday. But last week Viney was hit very similar to what Wallis copped off Vince, and Viney I believe went off concussed. Was the GC (AFL agent) player cited or reported? If not, why not?

Wallis got straight up and continued playing. Viney last week was clearly shaken.

Viney hit was deemed as incidental

Well if that is the case I'd deem Vince contact was incidental too. Throw it out.

Predictions for MRP Lotto:

A clean sweep of 1's:

Vince  - 1 to remain at 1 with bad record.

Jetta - 2 down to 1 as Bontempelli sunk to the ground more dramatically than the Titanic.

Pedersen, Didn't see the incident, but I'll go with 1 remaining at 1 with a bad record.

From last weeks report:
" Contact between the Gold Coast Suns’ Clay Cameron and Melbourne’s Jack Viney from the fourth quarter of Saturday’s match was assessed. The panel said Cameron was approaching the ball to collect it when the Suns’ Jesse Lonergan took possession of the ball before him. Cameron changed direction to allow his team mate to go past him and made accidental contact with Viney, who was pursuing Lonergan. It was the view of the panel that no further action was required. "

Vinces looked a little uglier and I would expect him to get a week. The medical report might save him

How could you make predictions for a lotto? I agree with your assessments re. Vince and Jetta  and feel reasonably confident in that because the MRP has been far far better this year in my opinion. They don't seem to be getting much cred for that.

For those believing themselves into Jetta getting off, I think you may be getting half sucked in by the commentators a la Rance from the other side of the fence. You can't go swinging wild elbows no matter the circumstances. Imagine it was an umpire rushing in to calm the situation and he connected with a jaw? Bad look for the game - will be dealt with as such.

I was just coming on to say that I didn't think there was too much in it, but wasn't sure how harsh they'd be regarding contact with the head.

Thanks for the update.

I noticed the Duryea of the Hawks has been offered $1000 because he hit Haydn Ballantyne.

( I personally would give him $5000 for hitting him and I am sure that many others would chip in a little more)

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
