Today I watched a full quarter by quarter replay of the Port NAB Challenge game but when I went to look up the site again tonight it appears to be behind a pay wall.

Does anyone know what is going on with this? Or does anyone have the right address of the smart replay site? Very confusing.....

So has the AFL Smart Replay now gone to a paid service?

Is there any way to watch good quality replays anymore? I noticed there's a Melbourne (3rd party) YouTube channel which has some games but the quality just isn't good enough.

Saw a thread on big footy saying this service has been changed and is no longer free to access.

More money grabbing by the AFL and Telstra.

i hope they re-think that or provide an alternative. i relied on it, not having foxtel

Can't image they will. They probably believe they rely on YOU having foxtel.

You can get around it by perpetually signing up to the live pass free trial and then canceling before the billing begins if you don't mind the lunacy. For me in just meant that even though I wanted to, I haven't bothered watching any games over the summer so far and as a result neither have my little cousins.  There is plenty of other sporting content available though ...

The AFL coverage is the only reason I have Foxtel now. Would be great to have an alternative that airs every game in HD, that can be recorded and paused, without the cost of paying for 100 other channels I don't watch.

Netflix, Stan , Amazon etc..... they are all nibbling away if not devouring Foxtel. Optus took the EPL.

A matter of time until the AFL takes broadcasting in house and then streams it onto the internet. The only thing that will keep it on Foxtel is if Foxtel is prepared to pay over the odds and then use it as the hook for the bells and whistles subscriptions.

I wonder what the price would be for a direct pay per view/season if the AFL took it in house. It would have to be less than the $1K per year approx that one pays for Telstra bundle with the AFL

In a few years perhaps we will think of Foxtel as we now think of video stores.

I saw "AFL" and "smart" in the same phrase and thought I was deluded.

Im sure they will start streaming properly eventually, (my best guess is probably around 2025) but there is no way they would bring the broadcasting in house, That would take it from a source of income and turn it into an expence! As people move to those online sources Foxtell will continue to falter but the free to air channels will continue to claim the AFL rights for decades to come.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
