I'm surprised you haven't read about them on here as they've been mentioned hundreds of times.

The 'rumour' is that we wanted to draft Wines and Neeld over ruled the scouting team and demanded that we take Toumpas instead.

My bad, I thought there was something new.

goodoil has provided good oil on recruiting info on DL over a number of years

credibility

Unless somebody posts and is either Jason Taylor, Todd Viney or Kelly O'Donnell then whatever is said is heresay, we are all entitled to post heresay, whether it is more or less credible than another poster......a drovers dog could provide the good oil on recruiting these days, it is all over the media before the fact

Again, unless you are a recruiter, this is not verifiable, are you are recruiter?

Its verified, close to the recruiting team at the time.

Now moving right along to today's game which starts in little more than an hour, I must say that I'm not really hyped up for the game yet.

Is there anyone out there at Playford Dead or Alive Oval who can paint a picture of what's happening there?

How's the atmospherics? Is the crowd building up, are the food vendors trading well? How far is the ground from the Barossa Valley?

Did we choose Toumpas over Wines?

Learn something new everyday.

Small crowd forming, nice atmosphere with big shady trees, picnic chairs.

Few of the guys out doing some general kick about ground familiarisation.

So it is verified coz they told you, like I was told something different by somebody close to the recruting team, my point

So yes, our midfield is light but at some point our younger players need to standup and today is a perfect opportunity.

I reckon the Dee's will win, but if they don't I still think they'll show enough to suggest that we'll be alright this year.

A win is not important today, it is an opportunity for the players to show Roos and Goodwin we are on the right path, and if they do, what tweaks need to be done before the start of the season proper, season proper I haven't missed a home game for 7 years, but NAB Challenge, highlights and reports will do me.....(Geelong must be really concerned for the season ahead losing to the Pies yesterday)

Hogans taken off the headphones, banging through some from 45m gee his run up looks awkward but they are sailing through

Interesting that we haven't named our leadership group yet or a captain for today's game?

I heard they're experimenting with a 26-man leadership group today.

The game is in Elizabeth, the cabling for the copper has probably gone walkabout the minute they set it up

There's an update available as there was a glitch with the video - I updated this morning on iPad and iPhone so hoping all bases are covered!

This club is only on the right path when it starts winning.

A win is IMPORTANT today

as it is next week.

I don't believe in honourable losses myself, they are just losses, but there is no 4 points on the line today, I just want to read/watch that the team performed in a competitive manner and took the game to Port, if we win good.....if we don't meh NAB Challenge practice game....you did read the reports from the 20/20 game at Simmonds last night

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
