No idea on height sorry, just know that he turned 16 in May and will play as a bottom ager in 2024 and draft eligible in 2025.

He has not been getting in the best players for the Suns Academy players according to the scouting notes on Rookie me Central.

But he may well be a later developer. Happens all the time especially for the really tall players. Under 16's for perspective.

Jason Taylor described him as an exciting athlete.

There's no way he goes to the Suns right? From The Age today:

Jeff White’s 16-year-old son Kalani turned heads playing at full-back for Gold Coast’s Academy, while Mick McGuane’s son Thomas, Jade Gresham’s brother Tyson, Troy Longmuir’s son Taj, and Bodhi Uwland’s brother Zeke also played.

White, who is already 197 centimetres tall and super athletic like his No.1 pick dad, is father-son eligible for Melbourne but also tied to the Suns, so a fight to sign him looms.

The ex-Demon’s twin sons, Kai and Tahj, are also showing promise in the under-12s, including the former being selected for the state team.

Let's hope not, but if the Sun's academy can do some hard work and help develop Kalani that bit more before he gets to the MFC, that would be karma for loosing Mac Andrew to them from our own academy.

MELBOURNE father-son prospect Kalani White emerged among the standout youngsters during the recent national under-16s championships, enjoying a stellar carnival in Queensland last week.

“White, whose father Jeff played 236 games for the Demons, has developed through a talented Suns Academy system and provided plenty of highlights in front of recruiters during a pair of matches on the Gold Coast.

“The key-position prospect played at either end of the field throughout Gold Coast's campaign, kicking two goals against Sydney's Academy as a forward last Thursday where he demonstrated nice athleticism reminiscent of his 2004 All-Australian father.”

My favourite part about this is that he didn’t want his Dad to post the clip online.

Jeff White is a very proud Dad!

I think it's awesome!

Respect to Kalani too for being a humble young fella.

Just do your thing Kalani and enjoy playing footy. 😎👍🏻

The prospect of Kalani may be the most important reason for having an AFL team on the Gold Coast that's ever been put forward.

Seems fair that we developed Mac Andrew for them and their academy develops Kalani for us!

I'm pretty excited for this kid and the way our ruck handover may work.

Kalani will be available to be drafted Nov 2025. The same time that Gawn's current contract ends where he will be 34.
Grundy is contracted until 2027, so we could forecast for Kalani to start getting games by 2028 after 2 years development.

Jeff desperately wants Kalani drafted doesn't he.

Why not? The kid obviously has talent and he’s proud of him. I’m pretty sure he’s a single dad too.
It would be a beautiful sight when young Kalani gets his jumper and runs out in red and blue on the G!

The father son rule is probably the last remaining tradition in the AFL. I personally love it.

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
