What 18,810 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 That ten year deal is looking poorer by the day. No doubt the corrupt AFL will find a way to let Sydney out of the contract early. They will do anything to protect their beloved Swans
KingDingAling 3,758 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 That ten year deal is looking poorer by the day. He could feel a weight off of his shoulders now this mental health issue is out in the public.

Curry & Beer 5,444 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 very sim ilar to Clark, including the lack of loyalty
old dee 24,093 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 very sim ilar to Clark, including the lack of loyalty Do not agree C and B he gave them a number of years plus 2 flags.
PaulRB 6,436 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Agree OD, if Hogan leaves after two flags, he'll have my begrudging blessing...
watchtheeyes 1,429 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 very sim ilar to Clark, including the lack of loyalty Absolutely nothing like Clark.
daisycutter 30,027 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 very sim ilar to Clark, including the lack of loyalty he's into photography too?
watchtheeyes 1,429 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Agree OD, if Hogan leaves after two flags, he'll have my begrudging blessing... Particularly if offered a similar deal to Buddy. The whole loyalty thing is bollocks in my eyes. It's their job and they have a short window to make it pay.
La Dee-vina Comedia 17,137 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Herald Sun is reporting Buddy rushed to hospital last Friday following a seizure. Could the issue be seizure-related (epilepsy, perhaps?) and not depression? I realise seizures and depression are not necessarily mutually exclusive.
Curry & Beer 5,444 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Do not agree C and B he gave them a number of years plus 2 flags. still bolted for the $$$
old dee 24,093 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 still bolted for the $$$ still bolted for the $$$ So would I and 99.9% of the others.
daisycutter 30,027 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 still bolted for the $$$ anyone (mental issues or not) would go for that large a mountain of $$$s
Curry & Beer 5,444 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 anyone (mental issues or not) would go for that large a mountain of $$$s I wouldn't
Bombay Airconditioning 6,510 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Curious as to why my post was deleted as it was a reasonable question yet others are aloud to post freely....
Spirit of 26 261 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Any issue that affects the wider community will also affect the AFL community. Particularly considering the demographic of the players. Mental health issues, substance abuse, alcoholism, gambling, etc. Whatever Franklin's issues are, hopefully he can overcome them.
barneymfc 152 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 i am glad most of the posters on here have never had to deal with the black dog, it takes a long time, and learning but you never get totally right ,you just learn to cope with it,believe me it is real and shocking
Moonshadow 17,678 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 very sim ilar to Clark, including the lack of loyalty Yeah absolutely identical. Clark left us as a FA after many years of kicking big bags of goals, helping us to 2 flags and we got band 1 compo when he left.
Moonshadow 17,678 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 No doubt the corrupt AFL will find a way to let Sydney out of the contract early. They will do anything to protect their beloved Swans You mean like banning them from freely trading and reducing the COLA? Bit early to assume his contract will be dropped. Cut the guy some slack.

There are moments of light in life that make it all worthwhile. Sometimes everything seems futile and worthless but it is the struggle that counts.
pineapple dee 2,892 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I hope for Buddy to get well and return to the form of the glory days ( just not against us) I am indifferent to the consequences for Sydney of losing him. Nor could I give two hoots about how the AFL feel.

dee-tox 4,835 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Love the empathy that exists in so many posters!
stuie 7,374 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Was rushed to hospital after having a seizure. Geez you guys are bloody flogs sometimes. Real tough bashing guys with illness, be proud.
barneymfc 152 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 hate it when stated he is getting the best of help, why doesnt everybody get the best of help, ffs he is just a footy player and being paid a truck load wether he is good or bad at his job on the day,we live in a sad unequal world
