How'd you come up with 4 out of 10? 311/22 = 14.13 out of 10.

Either way it doesn't add up. I'd have thought the highest possible score would be 220 under that system.

Edit: sorry, forgot to factor in the "four members" bit. Divide it all by four and it works (sorta). The highest possible score would therefore be 880, so you're right, a score of 311 out of 880 seems low.

Will have to be Vince I think. Probably more consistent than Jones. Most interestingly will be seeing how Hogan is rated internally. He deserves to be top 5. McDonald and Cross looked like chances earlier in the season and Viney would be if he played a couple more games (Would love to see Viney win in 2016)

You could also make a case for Jesse Hogan, but tin my view, he was too hot or cold - as all forwards are.

He kicked 22 goals in his first 10 games and 22 in his last 10 games.

He took 68 marks in his first 10 games and 66 in his last 10 games.

He had 137 disposals in his first 10 games and 124 in his last 10 games.

Only 4 times did he have less than 10 disposals.

Eight times in 20 matches he took 8 marks or more. By comparison Jake Stringer hasn't had an 8 mark game.

Actually, it's interesting comparing him to Stringer, who just completed his third season.

Stringer averaged 14 disposals to Hogan's 13; 3.6 marks to 6.7; 2.6 goals to 2.2; and 75 ratings points to 74. They're different players with Hogan the pack crashing contested marking key forward and Stringer the versatile and powerful forward/mid, but it highlights how good Hogan's first 20 games have been. Hogan creams him in contested marks and marks inside 50.

Most think Stringer will be AA this year.

The reason Jones won't win is because he had a slow start to the season and a patch towards the end where he played like poo. Are you suggesting that the club engineered a Jones form slump in order to stop him from winning the B&F out of some sense of embarrassment?

I reckon McDonald was in superb form for the first half of season. His second half of season definitely wasn't as good, but still very serviceable in quite a number of games and just a few poor ones. McDonald amassed 152 one percenters (1%'s), some 417 disposals, 155 marks (29 contested), McDonald has improved on 2014, enough for me to give him the nod ahead of Vince and Jones. All three are deserved winners IMO.

Yep, Tommy's stats are pretty impressive, especially for a KPD. Just a few too many 'howlers' for mine (without knowing the actual numbers, I'd guess at 2 or 3 per game). I'll still give my vote it to Bernie by a whisker, because on many occasions through the middle of the season he trounced opposition match-winners (like Danger and Pendles) and was an attacking weapon himself. Both took their games to new levels in 2015 I reckon.

I wonder whether he's eligible. If it's best first year based on when he actually played his first senior game, then yes. If its determined by when players first become eligible to play, then he's not eligible (which would be a mockery).
