Northern Blues v Casey Scorpions

Going to Princes Park. Certain win and good competitive footy. Makes it easier if we don't win on Sunday. Plus its not at Casey. Tragic that there will be no bacon rolls, but being in hipster city the coffee will be good. get along

Do you have to pay to get in?

Do you have to pay to get in?

Some you do (Casey) some you don't (Vic Park, Whitten Oval)

You'll be safe, pretty sure old man Demonland has it in for me.

Probably jealous of my man bag.

Its a satchel, Indiana Jones had one, thought you of all people would know that

Casey development league team kick the first four goals of their Development League game.

Kent snag any of those, KC?

Just want Kent to get through the game and pull up 100% fine.

Looking forward to seeing him back in the ones for a handful of games before EOS.

Sounds like Northern Blues development squad isn't very good.

You could say that.

Quarter Time: Casey Scorpions 8.3.51 lead Northern Blues 1.4.10

Does Kent only need 2 more for his first bag of Ten?

Does Kent only need 2 more for his first bag of Ten?

Not quite, it's Kent's first game after being out for ten weeks and I believe the idea is to give him a couple of quarters in a first up run. I haven't seen much of him anyway.

The lead is now out to 55 points.

Or our own [censored] Fenton-Smith

The filter is way way over the top. PC gone mad.

I used the noun for one who tosses something, [censored], and it was censored.

Alternate word for rooster, [censored], no good.

Nickname for Richard, Dick - out.

at the end of every season there is always some fool(s) who suggest we de-list/trade Kent. Good to see the excitement for his return is happening.

He is/will be very important to us going forward.

I recall the "Get Rid of Nathan Jones Thread" in about his 2nd or 3rd year with us.

Half Time: Casey Scorpions 13.7.85 to Northern Blues 2.5.17

Good scoreline - any news on Clarke Kent?

Lift your game boys! Bring it home.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
