Because I believe what Kennet says is true. I believe in the football Dept, the CEO but I wonder about the boards performance.

Something within the organisation is still not right.

That's true but I remember Barassi and Jeans both saying the first priority in rebuilding your club is getting the Board right and by implication they must rake responsibility when the ship is sinking. Whatever you may think about Kennet a lot of Hawthorns current success is down to him, especially their off field performance with membership numbers etc.

Mods clean up this thread. Almost as embarrassing to be associated with as yesterday's on field performance.

Or Ian Dicker who did the spade work.

oh really I thought it did

careful with those brain cells you have a limited supply

yet your whinging is infinite.

Goodes requests to play in the seconds to find form = heroic and noble act of selflessness worthy of praise.

Watts requests to play in the seconds to find form = shameful and gutless act of treachery worthy of involuntary euthanasia.

Watts didn't ask to get dropped.

Big noter. There have been dozens like you on here before. Go away.

Love your facebook profile pic of Hodgey and Mitchell holding the cup, by the way.

LOL

Excuse me?

If you have a problem, you're welcome to PM me, but I don't know how you came to a conclusion that I'm a Hawthorn supporter?

Edit - Since you're so sure I'm a Hawthorn supporter according to my Facebook profile, I give you permission to name and shame me on here in public for all the posters and public to see.

Awesome!

The posters are going harder than the players.

Big, big bumps all around.

SWYL is on the vest, C and B continues to swing, DD36 completely punch drunk and Biffen's kicked 5!

H_H continues to frustrate (undoubted ability), Wiseblood's lost his composure and Nasher's whistle has broken!

Go D'monlanders!!

Wow, I thought I was reading a training thread...

Just the same ol bagging each other out crud.

Then you are just as ignorant as Kennett. Do you actually know who is on the board? Do you know what the role of the board is? do you know how long the board has been in place?

Suggest you go and look it up.

Actually it was down to Ian Dicker.

Come on Nasher, are you going to out me as a liar or are you going to pretend to make the moral high ground to hide that you were lying?

You think what I've been saying is bollocks, then out me. Don't make a false assumption and then act like you're right just because you have that admin title under your username.

The burden of proof isn't on Nasher, it's on you. You're the one who has made the claim and not backed it up.

Did you perhaps think that there maybe a reason why I haven't told the full story?

Had Nasher PM'd me instead of making up [censored] lies to try and bignote himself, I would have told him what I knew, but he's shot himself and any of the other mods/admins in the foot. I don't appreciate being called a liar when I am not and then have lies made up about me on top of that. I finished high school a long time ago, I thought that stuff finished then? Evidently not.

I'm not the only poster on here who knows what really happened either.

*lol* I'm not going to delete your post, I'm quite happy for you to make yourself look like a goose. The email address you used to register with clearly belongs to a Hawthorn supporter. Unless you used someone else's email address, which is majorly suspicious in itself. There's nothing wrong with coming here as an opposition supporter, we've had a few over the years, but trying to look like a local isn't on.

I didn't say you were lying, by the way, I just said you were big noting. I have no idea whether you know anything or not. You might - or at least, sincerely think you do. But since you're clearly not going to tell us what it is you know, I see no motivation for your coming here with your claims that you know the truth other than to make yourself look good. I've seen it all before, more times than I'd care to count.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, why the hell does Roos always play Dunn on the tallest forward ?

Last week it was Tippett, this week Hale.

Costs us easy gols every week.

I think Roos is playing Dunn on the second forward, who the last two weeks has happened to be taller.

Franklin is better than Tippett, I'm glad McDonald went to him.

I think yesterday McDonald spent time with both Roughead and Gunston, and both of them are infinitely better than David Hale.

Dunn's beaten taller opponents before, too. the problem isn't the height difference, it's that Dunn's woefully out of form and isn't putting in the same efforts that won him plaudits in 2014.

Actually it was down to Ian Dicker.

Not totally, but the fact remains that a clubs success begins with the president and the board, likewise its failure.

The problem with Dunn is; he left his then AA form behind almost exactly to the day after he signed his current contract. I liked this guy then and had a lot of patience over the years for him but he is another time waster that will keep us bottom feeding until he and his ilk are all gone.

Yeah you're right, I have used someone elses email address because there's a rule that Australian's are only allowed one email address per person. As well as that, Facebook has 0 aliases on their system. Not one. Never happened.... ever.

Only an idiot signs up to a forum using their real anything. When unknown people hidden behind a username run the forum and have access to your 'private' signup information, using your real name and email address is not a smart move.

As for what I said, all it was, was to not believe what Roos said. Then when quizzed, I added a few pieces. I did it because a few were getting stuck into or supporting both the coach and player in question for reasons they didn't know the truth of. Sometimes things are best left unsaid.

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
