THE SAGA CONTINUES - WADA APPEALS

Featured Replies

Hirds only consistency :

It's always someone else's fault.

Hird is suing his insurance co for not covering his legal bills!!

I am amused by the irony of that

I'm impressed that he wants to continue to line the pockets of the legal fraternity.

And, speechless at his audacity (albeit his legal right)

Oh, that's right he 'didn't see the Dog's loss coming'!!!

Well he better get his mind back on the job of coaching otherwise another 'reality bus' is coming his way.

Really? Wow he is stupider than I thought. Who would launch that legal action without checking first whether it was covered?

Where does Hird get all this stupid legal advice from? oh.....

I'm literally gobsmacked that Essendon fans put up with this egomaniac as a coach.

It didn't take long for Carlton fans to turn against Malthouse and want his head, yet Hird remains untouchable. They indoctrinate their members well at Windy Hill!

This is just brilliant.

They are stuck with him

They were stuck with thousands of needles

And they are no good

And yet the reality bus just keeps flying past their stop

Certainly never expected the karma bus to hit them with such force. And to think, WADA haven't even banned them yet!

"Chubb had denied liability, in a letter dated April 12, 2015, to indemnify Hird for his trial and appeal costs on the grounds that the policy did not afford cover for Hird for pursuing legal proceedings as a claimant; and his legal costs were not reasonably incurred"

like that other chap, he is just undergoing his cruxifiction and after that we will witness his resurrection

at least that is the bumber disciple's narrative

they will probably print a new version of that holy book in bomberland with an extra gospel attached

Maybe Lloyd can be the next golden child to senior coach them with zero senior coaching experience?

...Tania?

I wonder if he would still be the coach if we had not helped him out on the 11th July?

As said in THE AUSTRALIAN, the insurance policy relates to the club in covering employees. As has been said Hird went against the clubs wishes in pursuing the matter as an individual not as a club employee. How on Earth can he be possibly covered when he was a private claimant?

No doubt correct dc

The truth they believe is someone has switched the bottles.

Just you wait till the truth comes out!

The game that proved to be a 'dead cat's bounce'! Grrrrr!!

There is something weird in the inner workings of that club and James somehow is the one pulling the strings!

i think the argument is that is no proof that the bottles ever contained wine and anyway no-one ever came up with a positive test

they're not sure what was in the bottle but it couldn't have been wine

they are blaming the afl because they supplied the bottles

The core principal of insurance is protection from unforeseen events. Taking action against others ie. being the claimant is not unforeseen and can never be covered.

I have a strong feeling the strings get shorter each week LH

They have Giants, Crows, GCS, Richmond and Pies to play

Cannot see too many wins there for them and the potential of another couple of beltings.

Oh the joy cannot take the smile off my face.

They are blaming the AFL not because they supplied the bottles but because they didn't follow the AFl's own rules and catch them buying the wrong bottles fast enough. That's what caused this whole mess, the AFL didn't catch them cheating early enough!

james must polling well for the "Legal Client Of The Year" award

All over dc

He will win by the length of the straight with only four months to go no one is going to bridge the gap.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
