Jeremy howe is a pathetic defender!

No intensity at all!

Who kicked that horrible ball out of the backine?

Garland did the last kick out

Frees now 9-3 !

Who the hell missed two Melbourne players and hit the lone tiger then?

Rewinded it. Vandenberg...

I've loaded up on us to win at $3.65.

Specked us to win by over 40 points - at $21.

And had a decent crack at the $2.50 on offer about us being the first team to 25 points.

1 down 2 to go

Jack Watts response to the criticism during the week

1 kick, 0 marks, 0 tackles at quarter time

Predictable

To finish that quarter in front is both very pleasing and very worrying. Richmond missed a lot of opportunities, though I suppose we did too. First actual good game of Friday night footy for the year, which is good.

We look so dangerous when we move the ball quickly, if only we could hit a target out of defence

Frees now 9-3 !

Tigers playing for frees the grubs. Numerous times in that qtr players dropping at the slightest contact.

Passable so far. Bad goal kicking from Richmond has helped us.

The bloke's been criticised from the day he debuted. I think it pretty much rolls right off his back at this point.

If the weather is coming from the West,I can tell you all it will be torrential.

Any lead will be good before the rain.

Seriously? are you even watching the game?

Yeah the ball hasn't been around him, but in the times it has, he has actually gone back with the flight several times so far, playing as if he has something to prove.

Stop refreshing your browser on the AFL site looking at stats, and watch the bloody game FFS!!

The fee for interference against Salem was a bloody disgrace. No contact at all. Just guessed the maggot.

No, what's predictable is that sort of comment.

That's hilarious

Umps are gonna do everything they can to get the Tigers over the line tonight,

We are not only fighting the tigers we are also battling the umps! 9 to 3. There has been a few moments, :( mainly in contested marking where they have been gifted goals. AFL REVIEW!

Garland certainly caught but no opportunity AND AROUND THE BLOODY NECK YOU PATHETIC MAGGOT!!!!

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
