Vince v Dangerfield

Featured Replies

Back in Walsh's day ... right, cos Vince was soooo much worse than Dermie ever was.

lol'n'spit

What did he do to Sloane?

Bump. Maybe high.

Hey Phil Walsh, what do you have to say about this?

Bernie went in hard and tough, while Dangerfield acted like total loser trying to get a free kick

Wow. That's sad. Gonna show this to a few of my Adelaide supporting cousins. I'm sure they'll love it (although they do have the ultimate comeback—the final scoreboard).

HAHA did you see Kent flip that bloke at the end. Gold.

lol that was gold

We may not be a Finals team yet but THANK CHRIST we are finally showing some hunger, toughness and mongrel

it is lights years ahead of where we were a couple of years ago

The Match Review brigade must cite him for such a ludicrously blatant stage . The Rules have been tightened recently and I seem to remember Thomas of North copping a warning .

I loved the fact that other demons players were in there supporting and defending vince at 3 quarter time. a much better spirit.

ye loved Jones' response. He was at the bottom of the pack the entire time.

Curry and Beer is welcome to apologise to Vince, like he had to with Brayshaw, after he labelled Vince's pre-match interview 'pathetic' after he spoke about his time with Adelaide.

I think Bernie has made it pretty clear where his allegiances lie now. There can be no mistake that he is a Demon through and through.

Wow. Didn't know Newton's third law worked so spectacularly.

I was having a laugh at Brayshaw during his third game dragging Jones away from the melee.

Hahaha I cracked up when I heard Walsh say that, your best player danger got smashed In every sense of the word.

Tex your captain was soundly beaten despite his goals

You never got your system going against a side who finished 17th last year at your home game

We take our chances and we probably won that game.

Claps for phil.

Loved bernies efforts yesterday thats my kind of football !

We might have turned a bit of a corner yesterday. Long way to go but a few encouraging signs.

Just took Danger off my "to get list"

A talent but what a "blouse"...are the logies looming ???

Onya Vince...more of same please

Yeah, but in R1 he was one of the first to come in when Kent got cleaned up. How about applying the microscope elsewhere. Like on the other MFC players handing around the edge as well. We can see his deficiencies without highlighting everything he does.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
