Pedersen (had a great 2014, will he have a great 2015?)

I reckon Pedersen's 2014 is greatly overrated around here.

He played his best footy when we played our best footy and was useless once our form went off the cliff.

He continued his poor ending of 2014 into last weeks Nab Challenge game.

I hope Fitzpatrick can show something more over the next 2 weeks.

I've been waiting for Fitzy for 5 years not holding my breath on this bloke. Id have Pedersen over Postman Pat 9 out of 10 weeks

I am with you Maggot old boy Fitzy has just about shot his bolt close but clearly not good enough.

[Pedersen] ,despite some around here has offered much in the past and I am sure will have another good year

yeah but there was this guy called barlow once upon a time therefore vandenburg is a superstar

just like how this bloke named Hird was drafted at a low pick once upon a time so all of our low picks are superstars too

don't you know the draft is a lottery, having pick 1 is EXACTLY the same as having pick 100, no difference whatsoever

unless of course you are talking about pick 2 and 3 in the recent draft then of course petracca and brayshaw are superstars because you don't get drafted at 2/3 if you are not a superstar

it's not like the draft is some sort of lottery

unless you are talking about the drafts that Morton, Watts and Toumpas were in

those ones were lotteries

I appreciate you are typing with tongue in cheek (I think!)

I suspect if someone analysed the success rate measure by number of games played there'd be a close correlation between draft order and numbers of games. We know not every first round pick will succeed and likewise not all rookies will fail. But I suspect the number of 200 game players who started as rookies is low. In fact, that number probably equals the number of first round picks who didn't get to play a game.

and brownlow votes, club best and fairest awards, all-australian selections etc etc etc

you will still find on a near-daily basis someone on this site throwing out the 'lottery' line

I love Demonland. Every rookie we pick is a potential superstar before he's even played a game. I wonder why all those professional recruiters couldn't see that when they overlooked his name about four times each during the national draft?

So glad Hogan has got the Ok.

Bad news would have dented an allready fantastic career marred by injury.

The best team will not be on the park.

They will balance the group so that each player will play 2 games in the NAB challenge.

IMHO this week will be our strongest team available.

Next week we will rest Hogan and a few others that can be dropped because of game time.

It is a lottery. I know. I've got the golden ticket.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
