I really like the look of the muscle development on Stretch

For a new draftee and young kid he looks like he has already put in some worthwhile preparation.

Fantastic work from all posters thanks very much for the comments and the pics.

Ignore the Petracca vision, think this was Roos showing them what is ahead, I was surprised when they joined in the repeat running drill, a very harsh introduction, but will do them the world of good, only one not suffering was Billy Stretch who is 2 weeks ahead

I like that he was struggling as long as he was battling though it, shows he was actually putting in and not cruising though.

And carrying 10-15kgs less than his counterparts...

I wonder if they'll want Petracca to trim down, currently at 92kg and in some cases that will be an advantage and in others a disadvantage.

Do you want me to ask?

Billy Stretch looks really good with the running because he was a gun junior athlete as well, same as Alex NB who supposedly has a really good tank already.

I know we are getting it right, asked Dean Kent how he was travelling and standing next to him he is bigger and more developed than last year, which he confirmed, just a bit peeved about the quad strain

Give the new blokes a few weeks to settle in before starting to bother them at training maybe?

"Reckon you need to drop a few kegs? Not saying you're fat, just you might be more comfortable. Ya reckon?"

Word of warning ...tried it on the Mrs, not pretty.

I am not sure why?, Alex NB and Oscar Mc were happily chatting to a few on the first morning, including myself, and having photos taken, as long as you leave it until they have finished the session nobody has a problem, they are encouraged to interact, I even got a breezy "good morning and how are you going" from Chris Dawes...much to my amazement...they are not precious or on a pedestal...as long as you treat them with respect......

Hopefully we can get a third round draft pick for him next trade period.

Deserves 90 games before a decision should be made.

But yes his thighs are to big.needs meditation sessions from the coaches wife.

Love your training reports Saty, but I cringe when I hear about you talking to the players. It's real fan boy stuff. Oh well, I guess all clubs have crusty groupies.

Gee your generous 9 should do it before we fling him.

As long as you don't go up to CP and quote verbatim Mr Mooses post and follow up with "care to comment" ?

McCartin wasn't on the news struggling, or De Goey. This is [censored], we are so cursed.

Oh for God sake take a deep breath it is the first day of pre season training for the recruits.

Start worrying in July when he is out of breath playing at Casey.

Until make yourself a coffee and relax.

Probably not a regular reader of my posts, OD, and I wouldn't blame you, but I was not being serious.

Veteran Demonland Trackwatchers Kev Martin, Slartibartfast & Demon Wheels were on hand at Gosch's Paddock to kick off the official first training session for the 1st to 4th year players with a few elder statesmen in attendance as well. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Beautiful morning. Joy all round, they look like they want to be there.  21 in the squad. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
