I'm not sure if you understood me? IMO take Brayshaw & Lever now, & let Petracca if he is still there, slide to GWS.... gut feel, I reckon he'll need 2 yrs to build his engine, as he's a power build. I think he'll struggle to run out games.

They'll have to play him as he develops, forcing another out of the team. End of 2015, time for us then to strike, to pickup one of theirs who wants to return. Then after 2 Yrs, see if Petracca is ready to come back to Vic for the 2017 season..

Petracca can play half forward if he hasn't got an engine. He can take a grab and can kick goals, it would be insane to let him slide. How do you know that Lever has an engine? He's been out for 18 months and never played in the midfield.

I think if we go for the Brayshaw, Petracca, Lever combo I think we will throw our money at Tomlinson, he's less known than Treloar and Sheil so the money we throw at him should scare the better clubs that are after him while throwing massive amounts of cash to Treloar or Sheil probably won't scare away the better clubs away as they are proven guns.

I have been saying for a long time.

Put the two golfers back together and you have a great team.

Tyson and Tomlinson to be re-united.

Come on man

Have you learned nothing from the Ollie Wines debacle

The fact you wanna skip over Petracca is made 10 times worse by the free gift it would give to GWS

Ollie wines wasn't the highest touted kid in the land he was struggling to get thought of a s a top 5

this is the difference, he wasn't under as much expectation, but rather had a lot to prove, & he came into a great team on the up, which is strong in the Mids, so he could start of with no pressure adding a support role, to what was already a strong midfield.

this petracca is under a whole lot of pressure to perform. if he came to us there would be a lot of high pressure for him to star straight away. not good.

Sounds right to me.

IIRC Port even bid on Viney with their first pick before we matched it, then took Wines in the draft.

We would only hope to poach Petracca off GWS if he was good enough, and if he was good enough GWS wouldn't want to let him go. They only let us take Tyson because they saw him as excess stock- a mistake they'd be careful not to make again.

The idea of letting someone go to another club to get developed and then expect them to be gifted to us later is flawed in every way. It is the dumbest most idiotic idea I've ever heard. GWS will struggle to hold on to all their talent from a salary cap point of view, but to think it can be manipulated to suit our designs is the dumbest thing I've ever heard on this forum.

Good post but think Tomlinson will be firmly in the Saints sites after Boyd moved a year earlier than expected.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
