Surely it's time to move on from this line of thought.

It's getting soooo old. Did Salem, JKH and Tyson not show you anything this year?

Move on.

Are you surprised Steve, look through his posts

Josh Mahoney isn't a pro

This club can't do anything right

This player is a spud

FFS it's actually comical, you wonder what these people see when watching a game of football

Yeah he sounds lik our usual draftees, injury prone and unlikely to fulfil his potential. Also struggle to play seniors this year. He is a shoe in

You would put much gin or lemon in a G&T would you Leo.

3.2 seconds for the 20m sprint at the combine is surprising. I know he did an ACL but he looks a lot faster in the highlights than 3.2 seconds. Trengove ran 2.97 in 2009.

And look how that turned out....

Watts was apprently fast as well....

Looked at his highlights package...THIS KID CAN PLAY!!!

I'd be happy if we took this bloke. You'd think a solid half back at worst, gun tall mid is a possibility. Skills look good, I love kids who hurl themselves at contested marks.

Only concern is that he hails from Romsey which is allegedly full of llama shaggers

Are you sure? I only have the utmost respect for people from Romsey! And only alpacas out there!

TomAto - Tomarto. Alpaca - Llama !

Come to think of it I believe "Dirty" Dave Williams was a Romsey lad

Ya gotta love this place. People who have never actually seen a player play watch a highlights reel and decide who they want to draft. That's like 5 good things out of 300. Thats what Barrett does. Come on we're better than that aren't we. Please someone comment who has actually seen him play a few times.

He looks pretty good, doesn't he? You can't call a guy a future star based on a 1 minute video but everything he did in it was impressive.

I'm not a big fan of skinny kids, but if he's right into his boxing then there's no chance of him being another Watts or Morton, at least.

Couldn't care less what his 20m sprint time was. Watts ran one of the fastest ever back in 2008 and I'm still yet to see any evidence of that on the field. He looked pretty quick in the video.

Will trust Taylor to make the right call but at the moment, you can put me in the Brayshaw/Lever fan club with all the other YouTube experts

The two best players at17yo aren't always the best players at 22yo.....

Just sayin....

thats what worries me about Petracca, he's bigger faster more powerful than a loco motive

its how you perceive them in 3 Yrs time plus.

I honestly sometimes wonder why you guys actually bother logging in - are you actually supporters of our club?

Do you have any joy in life other than carping here about "the hopelessness at our club"?

Why don't you switch and follow Hawthorn or Sydney? Not enough to whinge about there?

How true.

I remember Troy Davis looking great in his highlights video and look where he is now.

Serious knee issues predraft really put the clamps on a young Joel Selwood's career...

Lever has had a knee reconstruction, Selwood had some cartilage removed, you can't compare the two.

And how many times has a Joel Selwood come through the draft, compared with players who fail because of previous injury concerns?

Although I'm not saying I'm against drafting Lever as I know little about him.

Previous knee reco is a definite concern.

Lewis Taylor{yes that lewis taylor}showed bugger all in the local league,And not much at u18s.

Had his season ruined by leg injury, which everybody was told would kill his draft chances and his 1st preseason.

Its chooklotto, with coaches like PR,rather eager to buy used products.

When he drafts a kid,he generally looks at athletic types.

and thats the nastiest thing I've ever heard ''''''''

if we all did that, there would only be about 6 people posting, & they may as well talk to their hand.

this is a sort of user friendly electronic newspaper, but just don't leave it sitting in the corner of the outhouse.

Enormous talent!

The kid captain Vic Metro last year as a bottom ager so it just shows the leadership qualities he presents something Paul Roos screams for. A huge endorsement from his peers.

He is probably the closest thing in terms playing ability to Nathan Fyfe where he is that tall midfielder who is very courageous in the air and can take a big pack mark. Has a huge leap him. He is cool and calm under pressure and shows good poise with ball in hand.

Don't pencil him in as a defender he will be drafted as a mid by us could make a big impact in years to come.

Very driven and determined character and for what its worth he was apparently close to representing Australia in Boxing so not only is he a very hard trainer he is also a tough nut!

A 194cm midfielder to go along with Viney, Tyson, Brayshaw, Salem, Kent, Michie, Toumpas, JKH has the potential to become a potent midfield in years to come.

Thanks, DD. His attributes remind me of a taller Luke Hodge. I'll be interested to see where he goes at the draft and how much he can impact during his first season.

Are you kidding? Taylor was a star at U/18 level.

He hasn't skipped a beat stepping up to AFL.

Don't know who you were watching, but Lewie Taylor has been a star for a long time.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
