Strippers.

Wouldn't recommend it. They're as ragged as they come over there.

Edit: Is ragg-ed a word? Maybe I mean haggard.

So far I have heard

Lumumba for Clark

Robinson for Blease

any others?

Haven't heard of Robinson for Blease but I am not adverse to the idea. Robinson and Garlett could head up our Entertainment Committee!

Hi All.

I would just like to let everyone know that my post regarding Kennedy was a genuine post from a good friend/source. You can check my history in 'topics'. I started a thread in June stating that Frawley was gone and the club understand this. This was way before anybody thought he was actually going. My source has always been on the ball, so I will back the information I was given in. To the mods, please leave this thread up.

Thanks guys,

Collingwood are stalling this whole trade period. Why cant we just trade Clark for Geelongs 2nd rounder and then ontrade it to H when/if they get their [censored] together. Why are we letting their own deals block our Mitch Clark deal

I'd rather HL push e'd in the moosh & bath him in the Yarra... that should do it just fine.

then we can pick him psd

... for Varcoe ffs.

no way, he was off 'No Doubt', to speak to others players, in the middle of trade week.

we need to open an office there, its a good idea.

If Bucks met Varcoe in Bali, who is there for Roos to meet in Hawaii?

that ones next year CBDees

give us time... to get the word about.

We'll need our third rounder for Stretch, would've thought...

We are committed to use our Round Three for Stretch: no options!

This is a disaster for all concerned. Clearly it disrupts the grand plan. I am unaware of what MFCs plans, whether that is to cover with another player or change tact. Truely aweful news. All the best to JT, his injury us now very much career threatening.

I will still unriddle at weeks end.

If the grand plan was all dependent on the Trengove deal then the club ain't as well run as I had thought, so in theory the deal to land a star could have also been scuttled by Trengove telling the club he wanted to remain and not be traded, or would have we lent on him?

It was also stated in the original claim that the plan would see us end up with:

"2 A Graders plus pick 2 which you would assume is being saved for Brayshaw "

but clarified to include:

"Also pick 2 may need to be downgraded slightly, but only to a level that Roos is still likely to get the player he wants"

If these claims are true then the Trengove deal falling over shouldn't mean the deals are off, surely at worst it would mean we now have to give up the downgraded pick 2 to complete the deals which I am sure no-one would object to if it resulted in us landing and I quote:

"The 2 players would enter our list as the 2 best players on our list"

Is it fair to ask if GNF is using the Trengove deal falling through as a way to back away from his earlier claims after some disquiet re the riddles and guessing games?

Think it's pretty obvious why everything would hinge on the Trengove deal, as shown by the almost unanimous comments that "2 and 3 is overs" for Kennedy.

2 and 12 (or 3 and 12) would have been a very different kettle of fish.

Or fowl.

I can see logically why it would be included in the deal but to allow the deal to hinge solely on it seems fairy diabolical considering the guy has hardly played for 18 months, had recently experienced pain again, you would expect any club would do a thorough Medical before taking him plus he still has to agree to the trade himself, you'd hope they thought of a scenario for if the deal did not go through because of these issues it was never a straight forward trade

Whatever happens, I am amazed that we are not mentioned in any media to be involved in any trades (other than HL). Something is going on.......

Exactly why aren't we pushing for the likes of Greenwood Lowden and even Mark Whiley.

You would think pick 23 trumps pick 25 for Greenwood and we would have more cash and opportunity to sell to him. If he's the best mid on the move we should be having a go.

My only hope is that we might be waiting for the Lumumba deal to go through first and then we pounce. But it seems it's all part of one big deal that will go through at the same time so we may miss out.

I think if we could land Greenwood, in addition to Lumumba, Garlett and Frost and taking picks 2 & 3 to the draft, most would call that a win and we would have improved our list.

Greenwood has committed to Pies.

Saints mate has little info from within and was sure they would take Petracca with pick 1 if they kept it. Mentioned Stanley to Geelong and he seemed a little thrown and agreed that made their need for a KPF more desperate.

Conclusion, who knows.

If Mitch Clark to Geelong is problematic, and he is determined for a start at a new club (for health reasons); then surely we should be looking at dealing with St Kilda or Western. Just think of the potential deals that could be generated with these clubs. Then of course there are also the Roo's, Crows, Dockers, etc who should be interested, even the Pies.

and I'm pretty sure his medical advice didn't say he had to play for the Cats!!!

Of course Clark doesn't have to accept the club the Dee's organise for him, but neither do the demons have to accommodate a trade, leaving the draft or pre-season draft as his remaining option to continue an AFL career - which of course will likely see him wearing 'three colours"!!!

Our most likely scenario is we take pick 2 and 3 to the draft and trade pick 23 for the best 23-26 yo, experienced on-baller we can get. That will give us a better balance in terms of age and experience. 23 is not a bad pick given the no of F/S before it so good chance of an excellent 'slider' to be picked up.

I understand that. I also conceded the Roos appear to be satisfied with with the Pies offer.

But if he is the best mid on the move and all our other plans have fallen through the club may try to muscle in just as the Dogs may try to do with Frost.

We have the better pick and could offer more cash. I guess there is the bit about us being rubbish though so he may not be interested but nothing is final until the paperwork goes through.

Had a closer look at possible use for pick 23. Swans and Hawk first live pick is 58 and 43/59 respectively. Earlier picks gone on F/S and O'Rourke. Swans have sal cap to manage and Hawks want to get back earlier picks (they have put some players up for trade to do this but it appears none that interest us).

Would imagine our recruiters have been working the phones since Trengove deal fell thru so maybe Swans or Hawks are the best chance of getting a good trade for a B++ on-baller.

Or! Port may be looking for a low 2nd round pick to get Ryder deal over the line and that may release one of their on-ballers. A B++ player from any of those 3 teams would be a good get I would think.

I can't understand Hallahan wanting to go to gc17.

He won't be in their first, second or third midfield rotation.

They've offered him a three year deal on decent money, something he wasn't even close to getting at the Hawks. I'd jump at it too.

ol' boy chook mclean has been cut adrift by carlton.

god football turns quickly. amazing to think that not too long ago - seven seasons? - he was being touted as the next melbourne captain.

Surprising really, he played some fairly good games this year. Old Melbourne habits of not working hard enough showing up?

Anyone for a last minute deal that looks like this:

Our pick 3 and 23 to Adelaide/Gold Coast for their pick 8/9 + A grade player? We still get the DL faves of Brayshaw and Lever but a ready-to-go-now player (instead of drafting for #23)

Glad I'm out for the day rather than refreshing DL every five min.!

KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie
