Patrick Dangerfield

I wouldn't be wanting to trade Trengove out unless it was for an absolute superstar like Dangerfield.

I have a feeling that he'll come back from his injuries a far better player - hopefully the player we were all dreaming of after his first two seasons.

I'd be more inclined to let Toumpas go but only if the price were right, as I still think he can be a good player for us.

Nearly every time a name is put up for trade someone says "Don't get rid of him, he will be better next year or he's been injured or...whatever. The fact is for the last 8 years we have been crap and down near the bottom. Changes will be made and some unpopular with some people but they are all for the betterment of the club and done by the people with real experience and know how. Time to trust in our leaders!

Demonland has a lot of active members, and as such, pretty much every conceivable view gets some air time. And funnily enough, everyone thinks their own view is the right one.

Any time someone puts a view forward, it's pretty reasonable to expect someone to disagree. It's what forums are all about.

I don't agree with that.

Ban him.

No. I agree with that. Let him be. You don't make sense.

i disagree you're both wrong

I can get behind that.

i disagree you're both wrong

I agree to disagree with all of you.

I agree to disagree with all of you.

Then we are in agreement.

Then we are in agreement.

agreement leads to complacency which leads to corruption

on second thoughts i'm all for it

what was it again?

Shagging blue rinsers from different geographical areas was, I believe, your conundrum dc.

No we're not!

Yeah, nah....

Not happening guys.

it was either Dangerfield or Sanderson. Rumours about Melbourne were deliberately leaked to ensure the threat was taken seriously.

From what I have been told Danger will now stay, and probably recommit.

To be honest I don't want blokes who can weild that sort of power anyway.

Hold that thought. Hearing Dangerfield is now very much in play, with likelihood somewhere near 90%.

More info tomorrow.

Nice. You posted this at 1.06am today. By 'tomorrow', do you mean 'Sunday tomorrow' or 'Monday tomorrow?

Just checking if I need to sit on Demonland refreshing this page for 12 hours straight today. Thanks in advance.

This is great news to help my hangover.

Come on Danger, who could resist us all?

Just pre warn him that he will be seated next to Saty on the flight over and the drive from the airport...

Why would he make public statements about his commitment to crows yesterday on radio if he's leaving them? Unless he's a complete liar.

Uncalled for.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
