Toumpas and Strauss have great skills but I don't feel like either is damaging, both could be game breakers with their quality skills

I put the mozz on him.

After talking up Strauss he delivered a beautiful drop punt to a leading Casey player in the middle... That landed about 7m short of its target.

Yeah I noticed that, thought as he was about to kick it he is about the only player in the team I was happy to see attempt a kick like that,

I hope if we de-list him we give him a crack as a rookie, I still think there is something there

A score - a point to Best. That's how bad this is - I'm getting excited when Casey scores a point!/quote]

Should have run into a goal, but was tripped and put back on a tough angle for a free.

Clever professional free by the hawks player, if it was intentional.

It would have been a damaging kick if it hit the target, because the player was about 5m equi-distant from 3 hawks, but I think Strauss was expecting his teammate to lead harder and the target never made it to the fall of the ball.

Anyway, just what I'm watching now, some of these young Casey-listed players are too easily pushed off the ball.

When we're supplying Barry and Toumpas, it doesn't bode well.

Again, Blease just ran with the footy, ran into trouble, but stayed composed and found a target.

He then kept running and received the ball back, ran himself into trouble again, and again stayed composed and found a decent target.

The ball ended up being turned over another possession later, but I'd out that down to his teammates unnecessarily panicking and coughing it up.

Against the box hill hawks, I'd say that's pretty impressive.

Serious progress from Blease.

Rubbish handball to Blease from Georgiou, over his head and out of bounds.

Not a great decision when Georgiou was playing on from a free kick.

Now Gawn has a free paid against him to McEvoy, kicking a goal after the siren.

Half Time: Box Hill Hawks 7.10.52 to Casey Scorpions 2.2.14

Goals: Fitzpatrick Smith

Disposals: Blease 15 Evans Georgiou Michie 12 Gawn 11 Kennedy-Harris Nicholson 10

Key forward Tim Smith - injured shoulder.

I hope they don't lose the plot and fall apart in the second half like we have most of the year.

Liking Blease, Gawn and Georgiou.

Blease especially is looking damaging which is great.

Not much else to get excited about

i can't watch any more. this is just horrible

The most accurate post so far on this thread.

Depends on your perspective.

I have never watched Casey because I want them to win.

I don't care about the result.

I only want to see how the MFC-listed players are developing and what they can maybe contribute to the AFL side.

There's still another half of opportunities to see them and what they can do.

That's all I'd ever be watching Casey for.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
