Still only a young player Tommy Mc, but yes he does need to develop more awareness. As for Westoff getting away from him in the last, he does that to the best players in the biz. At some stage he will make you pay, another lesson for Tommy which I'm sure will be pointed out.

Question...who takes Cloke next week? will it be Tommy, to much of a monster for Dunn and Garland is more use as a running back in the Enright mould. Do we move Chip back for this one with Dawes coming in.

Has to be Tommy Mc. A good challenge but one he is ready for and he has to know he can out pace and out run Cloke.

Without Maxwell down back I have faith we can score against a young Collingwood backline. But it's the midfield where we need to go to another level from even the rise so far.

Cross to Pendlebury. Nath Jones head to head with Beams maybe. We will need to be at our best to stop the likes of Lumumba and Clinton Young. They are limited players when under pressure but they cut you apart if allowed to run free.

I thought the exact thing the other day. I'm a little worried about that match up. I think we have to play Garland on him, but I think Tommy Mac will start on him. I wonder whether it would be equally plausible to play Garland forward and throw Frawley back. It'll be an interesting match up and one that certainly worries me. Hopefully Dawes will provide a similar threat at the other end.

Normally I would be worried about this too, but we have someone who can actually coach now, rather than some E-grade fwit, so I'm not too concerned as I have confidence in our FD.

Interesting that Roos has used Cross on the free runners who rack up the touches (McRae, Polec, etc) so wouldn't be surprised if he went to Lumumba or maybe Swan. Pendles is the obvious but Roos is not always obvious.

I agree. T Mac gets him and if beaten perhaps Frawley to come back and pick him up. Howe and Garlan can assist T Mac coming thrid man in and if T Mac can run off Cloke it could expose the maggies a bit.

This is what Riewoldt was talking about today, we all know we have a good coach, was this bit necessary, feel like a man now do you, tell you what I'll tell you where Neeld is now working, go and say it to his face hero

I reckon Dom Tyson will go head to head with Pendelbury

I don't think that will happen, you just can't afford to go head to head with Pendles, he would cut us up. He might use Grimes again or maybe even challenge Vince. Jones as was pointed out before by 'Georgiou' is more likely Beams man in a head to head.

Part of the fun of football is trying to pre guess the coaching moves, so who really knows apart from them and they are probably still formulating the plan.

From a learning point of view, i reckon the next step for Dom is to become damaging with his ball use like Pendles and seeing him up close will help that, he doesn't have to play on him,

I rate Beams as being as good as Pendels, his general touches don't create as much but he has a huge capacity to impact the score board

Cou;dn't help yourself could you, there is a difference as to how the team was playing last year and this, and a myriad of reasons which have been done to death on here as to what and why, but then again some of us have moved on looking for the positives, you never will get how I think, bit above you methinks, but feel free to keep taking potshots, if it compensates for something else missing in your life, at least it is achieving something

hahaha!! Says so much. You have no idea when humour is used do you Satyr

I believe we have discovered some footage of Saty directly after a fellow Demonlander saying something that was not entirely supportive regarding someone involved with or somehow connected to the club...

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th
