It's time to stand in awe of young Jack!

Jack Viney is better than advertised

I knew he'd be good but hes looking like absolute superstar material already

I remember some people querying his pace pre draft, I guess thats just cos he was known as an inside midfielder

the boy is FAST

and he doesn't have the Numero Uno mantle, to bog him down.

It really was a fantastic piece of play from Jack and it's a real shame that it was highlighted in a negative way because of the MRP/tribunal and all the controversy that followed.

It's sad that a young player has been put out of the game for 6 weeks because of the incident but I'm sure he would understand that it is part of the game that collisions are going to occur, I really wish him all the best with his recovery as he seems like a very talented player who's had a poor run of luck with injuries.

Reverend as you are well aware we have canonised a number of players over the last six years and most are not at the club anymore.

Did you read these three lines?

"Yes he looks good but let the kid develop without the messiah label.

I know we are desperate for someone to love after nearly decade of crap.

But lets acknowledge he is looking good but not yet the messiah"

Is there anything wrong with this?

I enjoy watching him play as much as you but so far he has shown a lot of promise IMO nothing more than that.

Some of the orgasms on here are a bit over the top.

All I'm saying OD is that sometimes you've just got to let yourself go. I understand what you're saying but I'm prepared for disappointment at any moment and will deal with it if it comes. I'm enthused at the moment and my natural optimism is being fueled by some visibly significant improvement. At the moment, the lid is off and the jar is half full. When we beat Richmond next week by 37 points I expect to see you unscrewing the lid and letting the good times in.

My metaphors are getting messy. A bit like the orgasms!

For all his good attributes Jack has one flaw he needs to fix ASAP and it bloody irritates me that players get to this level and have this issue.....

HE'S ONE SIDED!

He tried to kick once on his right foot on Saturday night and it was a roller. Was also run down because he couldn't get on his left side. No player is complete if they can't kick at least competently with their non-preferred foot.

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
