Tyson is a star, this is what other sides expect of top 5 draft picks.

Yet down at the MFC, it is somewhat of a miracle if these picks turn out half as good as D.Tyson.

Very good trade Roosy.

2 games in, I dare say most sides would part with pick 2 alone for Tyson, he looks exceptional.

While I left the game on Sunday in a fit of depression, I have D Tyson to thank for my depression being less than suicidal.

A ray of hope is he.

And I wish Bernie Vince was 5 years younger!

I am sick of the media saying that he better be good cause Melbourne traded pick 2 for him.

We are still missing a couple of Isaac Smith/Stephen Hill types. Blease doesn't have a big enough tank, Bail hasn't got the necessary skill, Toumpas and Trengove too slow.

Why did he play so few games at GWS? That is, what sort of injury or injuries did he have?

The talented junior did not get much chance to show his wares with Greater Western Sydney, being restricted to 10 games in 2012 because of a shin complaint and then playing just three games in 2013 after overcoming a knee problem. Tyson is a tall midfielder who adds to the Demons’ midfield mix and is capable of bringing players into the game with his quick hands and competitive attitude. He has had two pre-seasons and, while he remains something of an unknown quantity at AFL level, he is expected to develop into a quality player in the next few years.

Player honours: NAB AFL Rising Star nominee 2012.

Previous AFL club: GWS Giants (2012-13: 13 games, 4 goals)

With Tyson, jones and cross in the middle and vince and viney going in there im confident that area is sorted.

Nothing is ever sorted. It's forever evolving. Cross and Vince will not last forever. We'll be lucky to have Cross for 2 yrs.

I'd say Jack Viney and Jesse Hogan have shown enough to suggest they should develop into A grade player.

100% agree. There's a lot of false narrative out there, but this is one that a media type just shouldn't be so silly to enter into. No idea how good Salem might be, but that was a real value trade and could be seen as lopsided one day (Kelly and Tyson both look to be guns, Salem who knows?).

On the lack of midfield speed, doesn't Salem have a fair yard of pace?

From what i have seen, Salem can be easily compared to Dan Hannebry or Adam Yze, his real asset is his beautiful left foot and his mix of inside grunt and outside polish

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
