A few more words from Nineteen, personally I enjoyed last night, the positivity from people I spoke to was reallly good

"A back to regulation night with 9 volunteers 33 SIGN UPS from 419 dial ups.

A record breaking 100 sign ups for our 2 nights.

Tx to Judith, Pete, Liz, Daniel, Graham*, Perrin, Trish, Geoff & Geoff.

We pushed the tally over the 32.300 mark & the staff are stretched.

Interesting times"

Saty from above 386 people contacted said "no Thank you"

Was there a predominate reason?

And what was it?

This is a rough breakdown, the ringing is between 5:30 and 8 so lots are on voicemail or answering machine so we leave messages, not knockbacks

a group will only sign up online, you always get a couple of them,

some are going to sign up at the game (tradition)

personally I only got one NO and he was going overseas and will think about an Armchiar membership,

my lovely partner got one with the same thing,

so out of the 400 or so calls you would probably get maybe 10 NO if you actually get to speak to them and that may be an over exaggeration

if all that makes sense.

Membership love us being in on Monday or Tuesday coz the phones light up on both Tuesday and Wednesday morning

I reckon we should crack the 33000 this next week or so

Gee it's raining all over Demonland at the moment, some really optimistic threads.

Anyway 27 members got signed up again last night, further details to follow, I only got one no all night (a real classic)

Here is Nineteen's bit.....

Paul Roos has decided to step down due to the …. April 1st ….Sorry guys.

A tough night for volunteers to make the trek in but Pete, Pete, Steve, Ross, John & Geoff prevailed with 30 sign ups.

An excellent nights work considering the circumstances.

Interesting that a thumping regular encourages thinking from supporters along the lines of “now is the time I need to support my club”.

We start a new project tonight following up on younger membership.

Pushing the weeks volunteer sign up towards another 100 would be a great response to the weekends anguish.

Another 32 sign ups on Tuesday night, making 62 over 2 nights, so all is not lost even after a 93 point loss

That's a miracle, perhaps there is hope. Well done to all concerned.

Hello children how are we this evening, in amongst the 27 new topics started In the last 24 hours, all saying how crap MFC are, some bright news, another 20 odd memberships renewed tonight.......

A conversation:

Renewing member "about that game yesterday"

Me (with trepidation) "yes, what about it?"

RM "it was a bit impolite, wasn't it"

I think MFC supporters invented the word Resilient

Bump, read a bit of good news

Nineteen rallying the troops, perhaps we can nominate him for pre match address

24 sign ups from 327 dial ups.

Tx to Perrin, Pete, Judy, Trish, Cheryl, Geoff & Geoff.

Solid results whilst we are “Kicking into the Wind”.

On again to night & would love to show the club we really mean biz with a maximum turn out.

So as not to upset Gonzo(id), just the facts, the latest from Nineteen, was also good to hear from PJ again last night, wants more than 35000

"Amazing what 4 points can do

Got us right on track with John, Sarah, Pete, Catherine, Cheryl, Trish, Perrin & Geoff producing 38 sign ups. …. We’re back!

We are in full swing tonight (Tues) & then back again on post Easter Tuesday.

Great if some of the Monday crew switch to the Tuesday for this week!!"

Ladies and gentlemen, just to let you know the membership is still ticking over, a bit from Nineteen last night, the optimism talking to people is refreshing

"22 sign ups from supporters who were last members in 2012.

This took 419 dial ups & was a solid result considering they were not members last year!"

Of the 419 dial ups, a lot are answering machines and may yet result in rejoining

Been the last 2 nights, 40 odd sign ups from members who did not renew last year, great what a win will do, a bit from Nineteen

"What an up beat mood we have enjoyed on the phones this week.

Great to have a win before the bye. 14 days of luxuriating in the victory!!!

Geoff, Pete K, Cheryl, Pete G, The Cat, Tricia, Geoff, & Graham had a solid night & surprisingly topped the 20 mark at the tough end of the season.

Just Monday & Tuesday next week to go.

The club will go passed 35.100 this morning & we hoped to push towards 35.333 when in next week".

He loves setting benchmarks

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
