Apologies if this has been posted previously.
Looking through some of my old posts in the archives not so long ago, it reminded me of all the comedy gold/heart warming/head shaking moments we have had on the land (and I'm not being facetious with the second category listed above).
I therefore call on members of the 'Land to submit their greatest Demonland moments from the above three categories.

1) Comedy gold: Biff's ongoing life at the Gatwick and the perils and travails it brings with it.

2) Heart warmer: A tie between P-Man's tribute to his father last year/the Virgin Australia video we submitted (how the Saints managed to win that thing is still beyond me).

3) Head shaker: When Cameron Schwab came on and gave all the plebians a good scolding over his handling of sponsorship.

I will need some older stagers here to help out as I have been here roughly a year. Time for a trip down memory lane!

I believe he retreated to 'Ology didn't he? He claimed, not unlike Douglas MacArthur, that despite the setbacks early in the year that he 'shall return'. However, unlike MacArthur and his defeat of the Japanese, he is yet to return.

Did Doctor Who ever make it to the Land or has he always chosen to stink up 'Ology exclusively?

That post should be stickied at the top of the board to remind everyone that just because someone is in a position of leadership doesn't mean they have any idea what they are doing or know better than the every day supporters they ridicule.

I remember that "scolding" he gave. He was on the money with that. There were many on here who expected fairy dust to be sprinkled and sponsors to appear. We absolutely stunk on ice and were very unattractive to any sponsors so that he did get sponsors was one thing he got right. The only ownership he didnt take is that he was one of main reason we were so unattractive. Also doesnt take away from the fact that he had a nasty dose of arrogance when he delivered the message here.

I seem to remember there was a very touching post from a 'lander who had found out they had cancer and talked openly about how they felt and the path to treatment. Can't recall who and can't find it on a search. Do remember it was very emotional and quite beautiful to read, and the replies were equally touching. Puts all of our petty squabbles and football losses into perspective.

Anyone know of this thread?

Edit: found it...

That was devastating to read and really puts things in perspective. The courage Two Sheds showed was nothing short of exemplary. Thank you for putting that up again Moonie.

Going back over that post, the thing that struck me was how big an ego he had. Seriously, we are a bunch of punters on a message board. Was he really that wounded that some of us were impatient in getting a new sponsor? That sponsorship, by the way, ended 2 weeks into the season and the whole company was on the verge of collapse a few weeks later. So much for finding 'the right fit' and due diligence.

Wouldn't expect anything more from a classless, witless, dh like you.

Not only to make something up, but to think calling someone homosexual is an insult.

I think the exchange between Biff and Stuie might be symbolic of most of the posts on the 'Land. We start a topic, it eventually gets off track and ends up becoming personal sniping. Kudos to Biff and Stuie. Kudos.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
