Garland is a long way from our best player, in my opinion. Clark, Viney, Hogan, Tyson, Grimes, Trengove, Frawley, Dawes, Howe, Watts are all better than Garland.

I have never liked Garland, I never feel comfortable when the ball is in his hand. I was happy to see him take the game on last year, and when he was under pressure kicked the ball long, instead of trying to pin point a target. Because he doesn't have the skills to do it. I hate the way he always looks so lethargic.

I hope he changes my opinion in 2014.

Sorry but as of now you cannot possibly say Viney, Trengove, Tyson, Hogan and even Howe are better footballers than Garland. Either they lack consistency or have been around for 5 minutes.

Hogan hasn't even played a game yet.

Sorry but as of now you cannot possibly say Viney, Trengove, Tyson, Hogan and even Howe are better footballers than Garland. Either they lack consistency or have been around for 5 minutes.

That is based on 2013 output, which means FA because half our team was injured or forced to play a 'role' because we needed them to. Colin Garland is not our second best footballer at the club. The further from him being our best player will result in success for our club.

Champion Data suffers from the same problem any statistical service in the public space suffers from. Statistics can be useful (very useful) for answering very specific, carefully worded questions, but they fall in a heap when you try to make a generalised assessment.

Although I think Champion Data do feed the 'let's start an argument articles'. It's good for their profile and gives them the appearance of being experts in a field they are not.
