New Major Sponsor: Automotive Holdings Group (AHG)

Featured Replies

Well done MFC.

AHG the new major sponsor; 3yr deal.

PJ, you've done it again.

AHG basically own loads of dealerships around the country.

Just in my area AHG own the Mitsubishi, Holden, Mazda, Nissan and Toyota Dealership. I worked at the Holden one years ago.

We might look like a bit like used car salesman though. They have the same AGM logo on their shirts too :)

Happy with this .. the jumpers the Clark and Trengove are wearing seem to have lost the collar too ?

AHG on the front, Citi on the back.....quick beelzebub a mockup for our fellow Demons and don't spare the horses ol' chap.

Not sure that is the case as this is in the article

"AHG, which will don the front and back of Melbourne’s guernsey until at least the end of 2016, has been operating in Australia for 61 years. It will also feature on all playing, training and retail apparel. AHG will also gain strong exposure within the MCG at Melbourne home games. - See more at: http://m.melbournefc.com.au/news/2013-11-18/melbourne-football-club-announces-new-major-partner#sthash."

Will wait to c what happens.

Time for a new jumper me thinks!

Big rush job by the media guys this morning. Couldn't even get the players number in the right spot.

Hmmmm...
This means AHG are both back and front of jumper sponsors? Is Citibank still a possibility?

rzcb.jpg wasnt quick enough...lol

I was a little off with logo ...they went with url which makes sense

I actually really like the front.

Yes all we need do now is remove the AFL logo!

This is all starting to feel very, very strong. I will wait and see how it translates onto the field, but our great club no longer feels like a rabble. It is beginning to feel professional, tight, focused and low key with no star ex-players hanging around. Only one step to go for the whole structure to be in place - the lead assistant who will take over from Roos. At this stage I have a sneaky suspicion it might end up being Rawlings.

But for today, our jumper is set for 2014 and I feel good. Well done Bartlett, Jackson and Roos.

Well done MFC..Jack et al.

I can only imagine the usual jackals were lining up to laugh at us with out any lil pics on our jumpers...like last time.

SEN jus said front of jumper so not sure what is going on tbh.

Is the back still for sale?

if you're feeling goo you might want to get to the doctor to have it looked at. Go dees

I'd prefer they just have the AHG logo on the front without the URL underneath. They have the back too which can be a big spread of their website, but keep the front small with just their logo. Looks so much better IMO

edited that quickly

Staggering isn't it!

This is fantastic news and we all owe a debt of gratitude to PJ, GB and PR. We have limped through Hell, but are now officially travelling down the road to recovery, both on and off the field!

So only the one major sponsor? The money must be north of $2m...

Well done to all those involved at the MFC on securing a new major sponsor for the next few years. The images they have put up already look good and i cant wait to see the final product on the backs of our boys next year.

I do feel for the marketing people down at the MFC. I think they will be wokring long hours to change all the "My heart beats true" ads/pictures.

This is the tweet from the club

@melbournefc: AHG will have sole logo positioning on the front and back of our guernsey throughout the 2014, 2015 & 2016 AFL seasons

So SEN are wrong... Shock, I know :)

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
