What are people's thoughts about picking him up come draft time?

Going by the article he is a long and accurate kick, got a good size body on him and could play a role in our back line. We need as many good kicks out of it as possible, given the current standard.

I'm all for drafting him at 40, if no decent player drops down the order.

I went to school with fuller and played a bit against him in the hfl. His stand out is his work ethic, he was an average player as a teenager, decent but nothing spectacular but he has worked so hard at his game and fitness. From what I've heard on here about cross- same mindset.

I remember as a 16 year old when I was living in the hills seeing him running along beside the road in the freezing cold during off season.

He's become a good player for norwood in defence purely on hard work and determination. He has talent but he definitely isn't the kind of guy that relies on it.

Would love to see him at melbourne despite his size, lol he was tiny at school and hasn't put many kilos on since but he has great core strength.

Yeah it's usually fairly warm in the adelaide hills but I guess it was just one of those crappy afternoons. Cold enough that I wouldn't of been jogging around in running shorts that's for sure but lol then again I played in pants as a kid :P

FOOTY TRAGIC does a phantom draft with a difference. Here's his take on Fuller:-

“#43 – MATT FULLER

Height: 180cm, Weight: 84kg, DOB: 1/6/1990

Recruited from: Norwood

In a not so dissimilar way to Dean Terlich, who got drafted to Melbourne after a great season for Norwood and finals series in particular, Matt Fuller looks to follow suit.

Fuller’s one of quite a few mature age players I expect to land at an AFL club on draft night.

Fuller is a half-back flanker with a very good left-foot kick on him. I think he is a more complete defender than Terlich with extra composure and skill. He reads the play really well and is good at zoning off for the intercept mark. With his big build, despite his height, he is often winning or at least breaking even in the one on one contest.

He loves to run and create from the backline and has been an 80m player for Norwood for much of the season. He is a really long kick and many Legs supporters will never forget his goal in the Grand Final. Fuller is very capable on both sides. He is not afraid to go on to the right boot, even from kick-ins.

He wasn’t invited to the Combine or State Screening which is an indication of interest from clubs, but his coach Nathan Bassett seems pretty confident that he’ll be on an AFL list next year.

I’d expect him to start at many lowly teams next season. He’d slot right in on to the back-flank and contribute immediately.”

Well all i've seen from him was the highlight reel on the AFL website and it was one kick, a good kick, but i can't go off by one kick.

If Roos sees him fit, why not?

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
