Thank goodness that's 2013 over and done with. Now our 2014 year starts. Cann't wait for the trade week and draft. Best time of the year for the lowly dees. All I want for Christmas is my two good midfielders. What about Mundy for Clark

Ha

Feeling the same way Harrison. 2014 starts today. Days are just an encumbrance!

How about no

I would get rid of Dawes before Clark.

A fully fit Clark is a match winner and a potenial Coleman medalist. You only have to look at his first year with us which i think some people are forgetting.

Though Freo do need a forward lime him, we need him just as much.

Trade period 2014 starts on Friday.

I turned up at Gosch's Paddock bright and early this morning and nobody was there?

I think 2014 must start tomorrow or the day after.

For mine, 2014 started the day we got Paul Roos ... :)

Would you take hill or fyfe for Clark. They need someone like Clarke. We need a champion midfielder. Take a risk

I'd definitely take Fyfe for Clark.

A fully fit Clark and Freo might be interested if we added a lot to the deal. But currently Mitch has no value and we shouldn't trade him anyway.

I feel we will be left disappointed by this years trade period. We have no leverage except Roos and that will only get us so far. We wont be in the Taylor Adams race. There isn't much else going. We might over pay Heath Shaw which will probably be a bad move.

What I want is to fast forward to this time next year. It might still be a long season on the field but I can't help think we will be in way better shape this time next year and will have a vision to sell some possible recruits and some players to deal to make it happen.

Hands off Mitch!

I couldn't stand to see him in another guernsey.

Look at those smouldering eyes of his on the banner. He's looking right into my soul, daring me to dream.

Off limits! No one may take my man-crush.

We must recruit players who can withstand pressure and who can exert pressure on the opposition.

Those that cannot perform under that pressure must go.

I do not hold sentiment to players who are not up to it anymore.

Grand Final day reminds me how timid our list is every year.

I want change and that starts this week.

PJ & Roos understand this. The players i hope will click in very soon.

Unfortunately, Choke, it's not his 'smouldering eyes' that is the problem. t's his foot.

How is he mending? Does he expect to do pre-season training?

The bottom line is, will he ever play again and if so, how likely is he to break down again?

We must be due to add another asst coach or two by now and maybe a couple more board members? We might even resemble an AFL football team at the end of all this. :)

Misson said in one of his weekly updates before the season ended that Mitch was back and running again I believe, they just chose not to try and rush him back this season, and allow him to focus on the preseason, which they expect him to do a full preseason. He is going off to Arizona with Dawes, so I presume high altitude training is only useful if you can train, and possibly only if you can train at as near to 100% as is possible

Is it true that Clark could've technically played in round 23?

Good sign if true.

let,s wait till round 1, similar things were said this time last year.

I'd definitely take Fyfe for Clark.

After his GF, performance, I'm not so sure..

Seriously, his kicking at times is comical.

He would fit right in P-Man

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
