Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

I cant believe even Robbo could suggest something so stupid and potentially litigious.

Got a source to the comment?

Good God. Is this the state of the AFL now??

As long as Essendon are ok.

What about the long term health risks to players??

Hird is angry?? "Get the good stuff..." Explain that Text James. You knew all along...

Robinson is as weak as pizz

Terrible decision by the Essendon Football club to retain Hird, while he is there they won't be able to move forward from this saga, and as far as i am concerned anyone involved should be banned for life from the AFL, might be a few lawsuits in a few years time if some side effects start showing up on the players.

yeah, "hird is angry"......stop the presses

robbo is flying his true colours

i've lost all faith in him having any genuine objectivity and therefore credibility

I really hope WADA go full tilt on this. The AFL and its Media arm are now showing so much bias and corruption as a decoy to the real issue.

It's disgusting.

Mark Robinson is a hack and has little or no journalistic integrity.

I have given this guy the benefit of the doubt over the last few months, but now having seen and heard his latest offerings in the Hun and on 360, I agree completely. He is nothing more than a misguided mouthpiece.

I wish the Essendon players all the best both with their health and their football ( except) when playing the Dees, as they play for a totally disgustingly run club, with no parallel in AFL/VFL history.

I feel as though the club should be de-registered or something, i can't think of a worse betrayal of trust in sporting history

Angry Hirds .. surely the internet won't let me down here.

I'm surprised you had any time for him at all DC. He is a dead seat illiterate buffoon. He is portrayed as the hard and incisive questioner, but put him against a "big name" and he is nothing but an obsequious pissant.

Silly Wyl. That kid is going to be a super star.

Not with a Bung ACL he wouldn't....I wish those cheats nothing.

Good God Essendrug are in front!!

There is officially no justice on this planet

Calling for Joe Daniher to do an ACL.

Then calling for justice.

Vintage - and no, I will not respond to your next post.

sheesh, can we get some of what they are on?

oh wait a minute .........................

Silly Wyl. That kid is going to be a super star.

Cant hold a mark, and isnt a good kick.

Joe Daniher is living up to all of Jack Watts expectations

Look what drugs do for you...

If these smackies get off after all this I'll hate them more than any other club for all time.

bomber is the coolest mofo going around, how can you hate them over say a Carlton or Fremantle

He will be, calm down on your Melb player expectations, year 2 for the kid on one of the defenders (gibbo) and team defences (dawks) going around.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
