Watts waiting on coaching appointment

Is this for real?

So are we to assume that it a guy like Rocket gets the gig, who can give a good spray, that Watts may walk.

But if a zen master like Roos is hired, he'll sign?

fair enough too.

I too would want to know who I'll be working with before I agreed to go work somewhere.

It's fair enough. He wouldn't be alone. I'm sure Frawley and Hogan would sign an extension sooner if Roos signed on.

He does realise even if he does move he he will still be demonlands whipping boy ... right?

If he leaves who are we going to pay out? Toumpas?

Fair enough, would do the same to if I was him too.

I think he will stay, but he has had a tough time growing up at the MFC, and still many unanswered questions regarding new appointments.

Over to you PJ!

i thought trenners was the new whipping boy anyway?

If he wants to go what would we get for him? Not a first rounder

Probably something like pick 88 - which we would then go on to not use

I think it a good idea we wait till the end of the season to see if we want to make him an offer

over to you jack, play well we offer contract, play bad and we look for a trade

simple really

Probably something like pick 88 - which we would then go on to not use

we could trade Watts and Roden for 88, then use 88 to get Roden back?

Correct me if i'm wrong but am i to understand that our number one draft pick, (who has been nothing but under whelming since the day we drafted him) is waiting to see if the club (who has been patiently waiting for years for him to actually fulfil or even look like coming close to fulfilling his potential) is able to sign a coach that is up to HIS liking before he even considers putting pen to paper?!!!??!!!

Excuse me, i just need a moment to myself here:

Typical Melbourne footballer, no loyalty, no ability, no bravery, look at me, will not sign up if I don't like the coach, we run the club, how great am I.

Never been one for the priority pick but should the unthinkable happen and we somehow get pick 1 plus 3 wouldn't that change things nicely.

Top stuff Song. Funniest work around these parts for some time. Whole family had a chuckle over that clip and the context. Giving you 8/10 for that one mate

We are all waiting. Not just Mr. Watts

Fair call considering the last few years.

WYL the entire "out of contract" playing group might be waiting!!!

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
