I had a water-proof jacket and fortunately a rug. The rug was the savour. Concur with everything you've noted, Scoop.

Steve Johnson has been cited for dropping his knee into Jones chest.

Not good for my Dreamteam but if he doesn't get a week I'll be amazed. Maybe I should prepare myself...

Cant stand Johnson as a player or person.

What an arrogant smug little plick.

Hope he gets suspended again.

I would love to see him running around in an MFC jumper.

im gonna cop some flack but here goes

under the coaching of DB, I had a discussion with a friend about Davey, I said he didn't want to play footy and was going on the ground for the sake of it

MN arrives and my friend expressed the thought that he would come good under a new coach and his best would reappear,

and now under yet another coach, its the same old AD, no heart whatsoever. forget the conditions , the team structure, age, and any other excuse, this man for some unknown reason , doesn't want to play football anymore

on the weekend , high and dry I might add.my geelong mates were very honest to say what they thought of our team, some good things some bad , but from the very start there was one demon not willing to be part of the game.in the first 10 minutes there were chances to run up from hf and be an extra at the ball, he didn't want to do it .he came off the ground at times not even puffing or showing signs of being involved.unfortunately ive seen this behaviour for 3 years and its not changed, were meant to be starting a new era and the group must be devastated to see a wonderful talent completely finished and not even showing a glimpse, it was very sad

I love Steve as a player, don't know him as a person. I find him the most entertaining player in the game to watch.

Interesting that on Saturday we had a inferior side to the infamous 2011 team and lost by 11 goals

compared to 31.

If only they had stuck to their decision on CS.

What might be the position now?

We will never know but I believe the main reason we are were we are to day goes back to the first half of 2011.

I went yesterday

The only positive is that I didn't catch pneumonia.

With dedication like yours, Scoop, I presume you ventured out on the Highway again yesterday to attend the Scorps game at the Avalon Airport Oval ,again in the rain.

Did you remember the poncho this time?

I'm ashamed I didn't make the trip to Kardinia Park.My excuses were:- 1/ Worried I'd fall asleep driving after being up till 3.30 watching the Test.

2/ No- one I rang wanted to go with me. 3/The amateurs team i support were playing at home in a vital game.

BUT.....in the back of my mind I remembered the games down there in '06 and '07 for thrilling draw and a one point win. I'll never forget the joy of the train trip home those days. If you don't go to games where you expect to lose, you'll never have that terrific feeling of the surprise victory.

I went down early last year partly to see Jack Vineys first reserves game, but he was pole axed before I got there!

ps. Sometimes pneumonia takes a few days to develop!

    TRAINING: Wednesday 19th February 2025

Demonlander The Analyser was the sole Trackwatcher out at Casey Fields today to bring you the following observations from this mornings preseason training session. Training  was at Casey today. It consisted of a match simulation for one half  and then a free choice activity time. Activities included kicking for goal,  aerial , contest work etc. I noticed the following players not in match simulation Jack Viney  running laps and looks fine for round one . I think Kolt looks like he’s im

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
