Matt Burgan articles - how do you take them?

Recommended Posts

Oh snide remarks are an answer to a question are they? I suppose people swoon with unbridled excitement when you walk into a room? He is a journalist (a proper one), he asks the questions, the people who are answering are supposed to be the important ones, suppose you want him to be more like that [censored] Barrett

Better be careful, Saty-you are fast becoming the Mfc kiss of death. As soon as you defend them, they get sacked. You'd better crawl back into your hole or the club will have no-one left to defend.

What a lot of rubbish Matt what's his name goes on with.... the five things i .... very primary school like ,perhaps demon fans like to be treated like 5 yr olds.

How much are we paying this w.nker, no wonder we are in such debt...

If the team performs badly week in week out the players should be told some home truths not make pathetic excuses. I am sick, sick, sick of his crap reports.

Lets employ a chimp to write reports for the club would be a lot cheaper....

Top work there you nuffie must be school holidays for now? Mods do us a favour and ban this muppet

Woahhhhh brother. Clearly you didn't read my post properly, where i said i was a fan.

Just sharing my view on his positive spin and wondering what my fellow D'landers feel about it, as this is a forum where discussions/opinions happen.

Go and relax, it's 4:20 somewhere in the world.

WOW over exaggerate much?? Wasn't even a direct snipe at you at all. Was saying that he has been a breath of fresh air because of all the negative crap being written all year. No offence but you say how can he be positive? Do you want him to write an article on how [censored] we are and sink the boot even more while we are down? He works for the club and its no different to being a coach or captain in trying to keep the positive mood even during dark days we are going through now. I love his passion and energy and positive vibe. When everyone is against us and pot shotting us I am enjoying articles because even though we are bad I am SICK too death of everyone hanging [censored] on us!! What Matt brings is positive and Refreshing vibe into his article and I hope he continues to do it.

You will alway find in life most people do alot of talking about all sorts of stuff, dl posters included, but actual don't do much to back up what they say.

i find its actions that speaks much louder then words.

For example, if the MFC players list is so good then it should be showing signs that the team could win games,

Personal I believe never listen to the media etc as they are all on their own agenda.

In football the only one I trust now is my new GOD, Peter Jackson.

Athough Neil Craige appears to be doing OK as the Acting Senior Coach but its still early days.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
