Thanks for your service, dedication and passion Don but its time to move aside and give the job to someone who can give this club some mojo.

The supporters are divided but for mine after 35 years as a member, I want dynamic successful people with proven football experience on the board. This is not personal, you are a good bloke with a big heart.

Get it done Don, and don't wait until there is a supporter driven spill.

Pretty spot on.

Good bloke, trying his hardest, loves the club, but right now we need the best around to get us up again.

There's a real groundswell of passion about our club at the moment, and even though it's been inspired by negativity let's hope it's the beginning of a new era for us.

For some reason I thought Don was going to see us through Jim's passing and then, because of circumstances, the tanking affair whilst actively looking for a successor. I had the impression that he never saw himself as a long term President. He has the Clubs interest at heart and I hope he finds a highly qualified replacement

Really? Talk about a dead horse - you'd be hard-pressed to find supports for Mclardy at the moment but obviously, and unfortunately, we've got him until someone else puts their hand up in a meaningful fashion.

If a strong-willed, successful, dynamic, media-savvy and driven man put his name into the hat for presidency, Don would be the first to welcome him in.

He's been asked to do too much and we should be searching just as hard for a new president as we should for a new coach.

what many don't truly appreciate is that Don is wearing all the punches that are being thrown at the MFC. He's a bit like Joe Frazier in a sense, he takes the hits and just keeps on moving forwards.

Hopefully when we are out of the woods (and poor old Don is bloody and bruised) he'll step aside and allow the new president to start their tenure with the MFC on a more positive level.

Lets not forget the extremely bad decisions that have got us to this point.

Does Don need help with packing up his office?

Exactly Fndee ,

You don't treat a guy like rubbish after he stepped up to the job in sad circumstances to help fill a void just because some has been Hawks President wants a job.

Don seems like a good man ,hasn't made any fundamental errors (who knows what we got away with in the tanking debate).

Deserves to step aside only when he and Peter Jackson have found a decent replacement .

Don is stable and steady, but he was always more suited to being the "right hand man" rather than the boss. He did an amazing job as Jim's second, and then stepped up and tried to keep things on an even keel when he had to. Now it's time for him to step aside for a more forceful and outspoken leader who can push us through the difficult time we face.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
