GAME DAY - Round 9

Recommended Posts

They've had 153 uncontested marks.

That's unfathomably bad.

I thought I heard that Freo racked up the most uncontested possessions of any side for the entire season thus far.

I'm now militantly anti Neeld. This has to stop and stop soon. For the bloke himself even. This can't be good for anyone's health.

I couldn't give a toss about Neeld. He's cut peoples careers short over the past year. Time someone cut his. It must be about caring for the players at the MFC. The work rate isn't there, but every loss is a further hammering to their confidence and future psyche.

Neeld and Craig need to go this week .

The game day coaching is pathetic .

Jetta Subbed?

Jamar rucking all day like a slow horse?

Byrnes doing nothing for the first half?

Nicholson not skilled enough.

B-grade coaches just ruin your football club .You don't save a cent.

Balmey was better than this.

Some of the players are good enough to win games of football.

This guy cant pick the right ones and inspire them to give it everything .

I feel sorry for our players now .

It really isn't their fault that the coach has no vision or creativity .

he is a slave to AFL trends and not an innovator.

We will always be behind with this bunch of coaches .

One thing that irritates me immensely is that WE DIDN'T HEADHUNT Ross Lyon, after watching the Coll v StK Grand Final, seeing Ross talking with the STK players on the ground after the game, I really felt at the time that he was done with the Saints and even allowing for his seemingly negative game plan, I was comfortable that his professionalism outweighed the negatives and we really we're in a position to land him. Totally peed off with our lack of SMARTS.

I have had enough now...Hawthorn & Collingwood in the next 2 weeks....Who the hell is going to pay money to watch those Deaths, and that is what they are.

We'll be lucky if we get 50K to Queens Bday this year and the AFL will then strongly consider whether we should get it next year - quite rightly too. One of the marquee days of the year with one match and for the fifth time in six years it will be an absolute fizzer with the game over by half time.

There will be more than 50k there but they will all be collingwood supporters looking to see their club beat the living suitcases out of us and kick their percentage up.

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
