Well I was up early today awaiting a call from Neil Mitchell but it seems the James Hird story took over and there wasnt enough time for a quick plug. A bit disappointing considering his assistant called me twice yesterday to make sure I was available for a chat. She did say however that she will do her best to get Neil to mention something about it.

Ellie McKenzie is going to make sure the Training gets tweeted today, and corresponding with Burgo to get it up on website, we need a few more twitterers......Good morning to the 2 musketeers WYL and Dr Gonzo, do you think Caroline Wilson will make our efforts out to be delusional......

Excellent stuff

I will be there tomorrow.

I have never been to training before in my life, but this is spmething that has to be done.

I urge any Demon upporter to get down there and show full support to to Don, he players and coaches.

A big crowd will mean a positive news story and show that the MFC has many people willing to fight for it.

Weather report for Friday 9:30am..."Mostly clear, 17"

Even if it's pouring rain, it wont get our spirits down. I'm pretty sure we all still adore our football club. I've been a member since I was two years old, my dad has been a member all his life too, and we'll be damned if this club folds. I think everyone on this forum will be damned if this club folds, and im sure our 30,372 members WILL BE DAMNED if this club folds.

Let's show our love, lets give these boys confidence

Get around the dees

Man I'm on a social networking rampage at the moment. People are going to hate me for spamming. Oh well

Sent Emma Quayle at the age an email with the story, including the official hashtag. Hopefully she can post it on twitter or raise some awareness. Quite a talented writer. Looking forward to tomorrow! Go dees!

Tagged about twenty or so players in my instagram post, a couple of which have already 'liked' it. Hopefully they can post about it too

Okay, am arranging to sack work tomorrow to be there for the boys and am going to add to the social media snowball campaign now.

Let's do this.

When you arrive at the recreational land south of Swan street tomorrow morning, take a few seconds to look out on the fenced off oval adjacent to Punt Road known as Gosch's Paddock. Be aware that it was Charles La Trobe (lieutenant-governor) who in 1839 showed great foresight in reserving this land for recreational purposes.

The first game of Australian football was played in the Richmond Paddock, on the other side of the railway line to the north, in 1858. A year later Wills and Harrison drew up the first rules for our game in the Parade Hotel (now the MCG Hotel), which is just a short walk up the hill from the Paddock. This was only a few days after the Melbourne Football Club had been formed.

So there you have it... Our great club predates the rules of the game under which we compete. Need I say anymore about our right to be here and our purpose in supporting the young men who now wear our colours?

FIRST & FOREVER!

Even though I have been as deflated as a Collingwood-supporting-dentist over the past week, and have posted about no longer being able to emotionally invest... I just can't help myself. I will rearrange my day tomorrow and get to training somehow.

Red and Blue until I die.

Edit: I just posted it on my Facebook page. Heaps of my extended family are supporters and/or members. Can't wait to get there.

Love it Maldonboy!

Some of you folks who are on the fence look like you might be coming down with something which could impede you're ability to work tomorrow.

There is a red and blue flu going around ;-)

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025.
