Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Central Districts, SA

DOB: 20/12/1994 Ht: 179cm. Wt: 72kg.

He's a wingman/half back with good skills but maybe his leg speed is a touch questionable but he's got plenty of good attributes. Was formerly a good junior cricketer with the state under 17 side and he's only really taken footy seriously over the past twelve months. Has elite fitness and takes the peel off half back role beautifully. There were clubs that were jumping all over him early but he didn't do the testing because he played in our reserves premiership side - Scott Stevens, Central Districts development manager.

This year's Shane Nelson?

Looks bigger than 72kg on the highlights reel. I wonder if that stat is a year or more old. Good decision maker. Reminded me of a Steven Stretch type player. However, doesn't get much of his own ball, ATM. Still... good hands, nice right foot kick, likes to deliver long to a leading fwd.

I like.

He's training with Port, no chance of us getting him. Should get Garlett, make him play at Casey for a year. See how he goes if he plays up or not up to it we have lost nothing. If he ends up being a gun he might repay the faith and be a one club player.

On the other hand, he's an All Australian, was SA MVP in the Under 18 Carnival, is a ball magnet who disposes of the ball beautifully and is an excellent decision maker. That would make him worth a look in the rookie draft, surely?

at 72kgs would he get pushed off the ball to easily, probably, i dont recall watching the kid play, so i probably shouldnt pass judgement, anyone thats an AA at any level obviously has talent, i just think the kids to light.

give him time to put on a couple of kg's and he'll be fine. neeldy has stated he is happy to wait on some kids

Lucas Cook was also a light AA, lacking a bit of pace. I don't know much about this kid but if he is an outside player with not much leg speed then I wouldn't be taking him.

He had a good carnival and the skills are there according to many posts but didn't get picked up. If it's not off field issues then recruiters must see a flaw, maybe the leg speed, maybe other things.

we have a pick before port so depending on whether we really want him or not, him training with them shouldn't matter

Actually, we're now way down the list because we haven't left room for a pick in the PSD.

I counted 13 passes in the ND which means that a number of clubs, including Port Adelaide, have left spaces open for either a delisted free agent or a place in the PSD. This is how I calculate PSD order at present:-

1. GWS Giants

2. Western Bulldogs

3. Port Adelaide

4. Richmond

5. Essendon

6. Carlton

7. Collingwood

8. Sydney Swans

9. GWS Giants

10. Richmond

11. Carlton

12. Sydney Swans

13. Sydney Swans

The Rookie Draft, where we will have third pick behind GWS Giants and Gold Coast Suns, follows the PSD so we're way down the pecking order unless we delist another player. If we did that, we would possibly have the first "live" pick in the PSD if GWS decide to take Tippett.

However, in view of the fact that all of our players are under contract, then in the absence of a retirement a la Clint Bartram, we won't be taking part in the PSD.

It would be funny if Carlton or Collingwood picked up Tippett before Sydney had their pick (though I suspect having Judd in Carlton's team leaves them with little cash to splash)!

Port have decided to take him in the PSD at Pick 3 so that's that.

For a minute I thought you meant Tippett (then I looked at the thread title), but that would be something if they did. Really set the cat amongst the pigeons.

Could you imagine the look on Tippett's face if he had to go back to Adelaide and play for Port, how about Trigg.....

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was

UNDER THE PUMP by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons have been left languishing near the bottom of the VFL table after suffering a 32-point defeat at the hands of stand alone club Williamstown at Casey Fields on Sunday. The Demons suffered a major setback before the game even started when AFL listed players Ben Brown, Marty Hore and Josh Schache were withdrawn from the selected side. Only Schache was confirmed as an injury replacement, the other two held over as possible injury replacements for Melbourne’s Thursday night fixt
