Viney no. 31: to put some respect and passion back in the number.

Hogan no. 5: to put some aggression, want & work rate back.

Dawes no. 10: to be a presences & attack the footy, not run from it!

Pederson no 27: let's hope he can be as good as the last, if not better.

Need some help with Byrnes, Rodan & Barry.

Viney for 29. Hassa Manns Jumper.

Pederson for 33 the CHB of the century.

Hogan 5 the OX MkII.

Dawes 31 adds a bit of Shite to the number.

I only have the 5 on my jumpers due to the Ox.

I hope Viney or Hogan get it. I'm sick of players getting it and lasting 3-4 years

See, I'll always be able to wear my #11 now. It's great.

31 for Viney is a great idea, have fun following that number around for the next ten years tommy boy

18 for Hogan, the next King? (cant believe I just typed that)

I'm of the opinion that players should get a high number and earn a low number like they use to.

I'll second that

I agree, but that will mean with our current turnover approx. 10 of the top 30 numbers not being used

Hey guys, I used to post on this site but have only got back onto it recently!

I used to post under another alias. (h.b.k) but F'd if I know what the password is!

Anyway my take on the numbers is that Viney should get 23 after Junior.. Leave 31 blank.

Hogan is our obvious number 5, Barry 33, Dawes 10, Pedersen 22, Byrnes 6, Rodan 15, Howe 24, Magner 21

Thoughts?

Howe to receive 24 - should be a staple of leaping players.

No player in 5, leave for Hogan.

Give Dawes 31 if he wants.

Viney #1. Let's get the ego train going.

Leave Howe where he is - Liam was ever only half the player at #24 he was at #48. Not keen on #24 - after all, sure he can take speccies but he can also do the defensive stuff, unlike some others who have worn this number.

OK with Viney at #1, or #5, or maybe even #31. Question: was Todd always #12 or do I recall something like 42?

I think #1 has been moth-balled - I belive it's euphemistically allocated to us, the supporters - the #1 asset of the club.

Viney to get #24, he will be twice as good as his dad. :)

I'd be happy enough to give him 6...

Howie in 10 would do me fine!

I say this a lot, so apologies for harping on, but...

WHY?!?!

I just hate this idea that a player should start high and 'earn' a lower number.

What is wrong with a player coming to the club, getting a number, whether it's 1 or 51, and making that his own number? What has the number got to do with the player, or his ability, or his time at the club, or his popularity, or anything? Why does Howe have to move from 38? Where does the line get drawn between 'high' and 'low'?

Howe should stay with 38. All our players from 2012 should stay with their current numbers, and the new players should fill the gaps. By all means, fill the lower numbers first, if that's what we want to do, but when lower numbers are available, that should not give grounds to move someone who already has a number into it.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
