I really Prendergasted that one

Just discussing on another thread how I once thought (do i really have to admit to it again) that "you could build a side around Matthew Bate". So thought it might be worth a thread where you can confess your worst player predictions. Come on - fess up. You'll feel better.

Brad Miller 'the next Garry Lyon'.

Cale Morton will be a similar if not better player than Goddard (shudders while writing)

I have nothing.

I just really loved the thread title. :)

*like*

(actually, i called Troy Davis an All Aust C.H.B after seeing 1 training session)

I think that qualifies.

Said I'd prefer Miller over Jonathan Brown back when Miller was marking everything and Browny was always getting suspended.

Wasn't drunk, stoned or being tortured.

I remember when I said Juice could hold down FF for a decade... I vomited a little bit in my mouth after I wrote that.

I was pretty Prendaghast at my prediction that "Brock McLean will win a Brownlow one day."

I said Powelly was the best recruit we had signed for a decade when he [censored]-slapped Hodge in the Punt Rd end goalsquare!

I once said the Bay City Rollers would be as big as the Beatles.

I thought that Colin Sylvia would have a break out year in 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013?

That Matty Bate would thrive as a mid fielder

I can't go on there are too many and I'm starting to cry

I second the Sylvia one

I just read the thread title again and I take back what I said. No matter what I did it could never be as bad as a Prendergast.

You really have no idea Rob.......

I rated Grgic. I thought after watching first hand, his big game against Colinwood, that we had a star on our hands.

*blush*

I bagged Jone mercilessly 2 years ago. Got that severely wrong.

The Cookie Monster.

That Jack Watts will be the most dominant FF since Neitz

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
