One of the few players to progress under Neeld and there is so much more upside - a player that can progress to be the cornerstone of our backline - but lets trade him out for an untried. Just gosh.

In - Toumpas, Hogan, Wines, Viney, Dawes

Out - TMac, Petterd

Looks good to me

I would even throw in the compo pick from FA to get it across the deal.

We have a guy sitting at Casey for the past few years by the name of Davis who could fill TMacs position, that and we already have Watts, Dunn, Tynan, Garland, Frawley as reasonable talls down back.

Hell we could even use that extra pick on Plowman

Where is all this Frawley BS coming from?

Think logically, if a bloke like Frawley wanted out, it would be reported everywhere, not on hack facebook sites

Orrrrr........ we could give them Jones and Dunn for pick 1, Chip and pick 20 for pick 2, Howe for pick 3 and Silvia for pick 13.

Why keep experience when we could have picks 1, 2, 3 and 13!

You are a fool if you think you'd give up all those players. Certainly not Frawley, but I would consider Jamar, just as I mentioned him 2 years back as a trade potential. I wouldn't consider trading all together. But individually, I'd consider offers.

#Experience, Jamar. We could trade him for a decent pick, and pick up a cheaper experienced Ruck in the pre season, &/or rookie an older one dropped off a list. ( Grundy + Hille)

Garland, a 3rd tall who is handy but has plateaued. He is tradeable. If we got offered a great deal I would consider it. This doesn't mean the deal Would be done.

Can't understand this craving to give away our mature performers so we can draft some more 18 year olds who may not have any impact for two years, if at all.

This isn't about trading out experience just for swapping with 18 Yr olds.

But I would look at seeing whats available. If I could get young Grundy + David Hille as experience for a Jamar trade, I would.

Garland, I'd see whats on offer.

And theres more I would clean out for a packet of Blue Loo.

Don't stress yourself V12, it's most likely not right, but this is hypotheticals to the GWS offer,,, If things were top be.

Would you trade Jamar for anything?

Wasn't having a go at you at all by the way, I've just been reading it here and there

Nothing to do with the GWS hypotheticals

Everyone's tradeable in my book, for the right deal

However, you'd have to make sure you're getting a worthy replacement

For example, at the moment and for what we know about the top 3 / 4 draftees, I don't see much use in trading someone like Trengove for pick 2 when we don't know if Toumpas etc. is any better

Davis is not even close to being up to replacing McDonald. I would wager he will be one of the 8-10 players delisted in the next few weeks.

Fair enough.

I don't consider Frawley tradable. To me he's a must keep. But if he did want out, you wouldn't delist him, would you. In that scenario, you would work with him to work something out.

In saying that, I'm sure he hasn't any desire to leave.

Jamar, who is/was one of my fav's, is very tradeable. He hasn't set the world onfire in the last 2 years.

Garlo, is of interest to others & ourselves.

So, If I could find a top 13 pick for one of them, I would look at it.

Watts for 3? you guys are crazy

he is still a kid. and the big kids take time to get good mostly.

what we trade him for someone three years younger, and then wait 7 years for that kid to become great.

Watts will only start to hit his peak probably 2014. he was always going to take time, we were warned of this when we got him

I can see it now in 2015 we will bag out Hogan because we spent so much on him and he is not a superstar yet.

patience people. if we traded watts in a few years we would all be saying "which Idiot did that" "sack the man responsible" and all the people on here who are currently thinking it as a reasonable idea will dissapear into anonymity.

I still firmly believe Watts will be a superstar.

Lol! And the gems just keep on coming! Thanks for the poster abuse, by the way. Always a good idea to resort to name calling when your comments are being shot down in flames.

I truly believe that many on here are working only on the laws of probability - if they keep throwing up options, however ridiculous, one of them will prove true eventually. Bit like the pokies.

Frawley is contracted for a reason. Jamar ditto. Garland has been part of a good developing back line for a number of years, and can go forward when necessary. David Hill? No thanks.

Keep the baby, throw out the bath water

We are going to turn over about a dozen players on our list this year according to Neeld in his presser with Hogan. How bout we keep quality experience and refrain from turning over two dozen?

Lol!

Yes because GWS would be so willing to trade pick 3 for Tmac. As much as I think he will be a great defender he sure as hell is not worth pick 3. Demonland in the off season.....

Tmac gave Patton a bath when they played against each other this year and Patton was a number one draft pick so don't be surprised to see Tom turn in to a very good player, forward or back. We know what Tom can do but the 1, 2 & 3 selections are unknown quantities at the moment.

This thread is now officially a joke.

Why not trade Howie and Garland?

They are the only two not mentioned, and I'm sure an over active mind can come up with a preposterous trade that will keep the thread afloat for a few more days.

we better not trade off pick 4

if we do we will not have any picks inside the top 50 in this superdraft.

Did call TMac my next big thing in a thread earlier this year, you would take a top 3 pick you would think but jeez good KPD dont grow on trees these days. who have we drafted? Frawley and TMac in the last 10 years?

Yep. I doubt Martin will be kept on.

the cleaning is almost complete.

I believe Martin was re-signed for 3-years earlier this year, if we aren't able to do a trade (which wouldn't surprise me) we're stuck with him.

I do wonder whether if we get Pederson whether we back him in to be our chop out ruck. With Clark and Dawes in there as well as possible chop outs it really does make Stef's position in the best 22-25 in jeopardy.

I've got a feeling we want him to play the Leroy Brown role.

But he could also cover IMO Riv @ CHB.

Or if Garlo went, we'd have Pederson, Riv, TMac, to cover CHB, along with Frawley.

IMO one of Riv or Garlo will go.
