Yes it is a good deal - I agree with you - try to sell the club to Jacobs and try to do a proper deal with Port and if not take him in the PSD. Jurrah is a non-factor.

Hypothetically speaking the deal might need a bit of tweaking - but in theory you could try.

Port - Out pick 7 & Jacobs In Liam + Pick 13 + Second Rounder we could pick up from another deal

Melbourne in - Pick 7 Jacobs Out Liam + Pick 13 + Second Rounder we could pick up from another deal

but I'm sure you could still massage depend on how ruthless you want to be & how much you may or may not want to preserve a pre-season draft pick.

Thinking might be if you have to give up 3&4 to preserve Viney into the second round pick 7 might be good enough to grab your second person in the national draft.

Again are we playing poker or dominoes.

Seriously. Jurrah is worth nothing and if port want him, they'll get him via the rookie draft. Thats if he even nominates.

We will continue to support Liam (full-stop) Thats what good football clubs do.

how do you draw the conclusion Jurrah is worth nothing? If this was truly the case then there wouldn't have been countless inflammatory comment directed at him after the announcement of his departure. No one would of cared.

Jurrah is still young and huge on skill and a knack for goals. Melbourne always looked a chance when he was on the field.

What a disspointment Jurrah has been, provided exitement to all Melbourne supporters but just fell away. Jurrah has alot of natural talent but was never prepared to do the hard yards required to play AFL it's a pity but there it is

He has too much baggage maybe Port wll take him a very big maybe

Only a complete nut-job would consider giving up ND7 for a player he could pick up with pick 1000 in the Rookie draft.

AFL football is a weird and wonderful game. We will continue to support Liam (full-stop) Thats what good football clubs do.

I fail to see how this quote is in any way relevant to the discussion of his trade value. It doesn't change the fact that he has walked out on the club. It doesn't change the fact that he has stated clearly that he is going to live in Adelaide with his family. How can you see any trade value in a player that the club no longer holds? Liams AFL options are presently at one club, and that is Port. Given that Adelaide has said they don't want him and he has said that he will not live anywhere else, they have no fear of a rival club drafting him, and can happily wait until they want to take him, be it the end of the National Draft, the PSD or the Rookie draft.

So, given that Liam is playing at Port or nowhere next season, how is the fact that the club is going to continue to foot his legal bills in any way a factor?

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

    Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.
