Judd accepts responsibility for a level of misconduct: reckless, medium impact to the body. Cannot accept intentional misconduct i.e. deliberate manipulation of Adams' arm

crucify this bastard I reckon.. Not only has he no regard for the actual safety of others he is just a lying a*#%hole.

Now he is just trying to get cute to minimise his punishment.

He should feel the full force of the tribunal...... but he wont.. he's Judd.

its all wrong

Tribunal chairman suggests defence should enter particulars of the misconduct Judd is prepared to admit. Jury should make a decision on basis of (a) misconduct alleged by AFL counsel Jeff Gleeson and that to which Judd is prepared to agree. Avoids Judd having to plead NOT guilty

Defence counsel has just accidentally knocked water over AFL section of the bench, drenching Jeff Gleeson's collection of documents. Gleeson jokes: Sabotage!

Judd's defence team have just left the room to draft a brief document that will outline just what sort of offence he is prepared to admit. This will no doubt differ from what the AFL counsel is alleging. At the end of the case, the Tribunal chairman is suggesting the jury will make its decision on which classification of the Judd offence it prefers - i.e. the AFL's or Judd's

I stand by my comment in another thread that Judd genuinely believes that the game will be played on his terms.

This is another example that he dictates what he will and will not accept to the tribunal.

JUDD = EGO

Gleeson for AFL: Judd guilty of intentional serious misconduct, unsportsmanlike and likely to bring game into disrepute. Said he intentionally manipulated Adams' arm

Wilson for Judd; Judd admits became involved in a tackle being executed by Carrazzo. HIs intention initially was to strip the ball, then as he moved in it was then to grab Adams' arm to stop him from attempting to dispose of ball. As the tackle took Adams closer to ground his arm moved backwards as Judd continued to hold onto it. During this time, Judd's intention never changed. Denies any intentional manipulation of arm. He recklessly retained grip of Adams' arm without addressing possibility of the injury that could be caused to Adams

why on earth is the Defence even asked what they will 'admit' to...charge the fool with whatever is the transgression and let him deal with it. Dont give him bloody options ffs !!

North Melbourne medical report: Adams injured right shoulder. Returned to play after injection. Receiving on-going treatment as a result of Judd injury. UNable to predict how long Adams will be out. North doctor to give evidence by phone now

Posted

Nick Bowen: Funny moment here. Call went through to reception at the Melton Medical Clinic (I think) We're waiting for Dr McMahon with classical waiting music

Posted

Dr McMahon: treated for subluxation of right shoulder, i.e. partial dislocation that goes back in again. Adams currently suffering from on-going bruising in shoulder joint and limited range of movement. Difficult to assess Adams' pain levels during a game. All I can say his pain was he had difficulty moving his arm. Could not have kept playing without a painkilling injection

Posted

Nick Bowen:

Wilson cross-examining Dr McMahon. Dr McMahon Adams has had previous injuries to his shoulder, similar partial dislocation and bruising. Adams more susceptible to suffer a partial dislocation given his previous injuries

Argh! What?!? Is he saying that he lifted up his arm to see under him?

"Judd: remember a Carlton player tackling NM player. Went in to try and strip the ball.

When he couldn't do that grabbed Adams' arm to make it so he couldn't make an attempt to get rid of the ball. As he hold of the arm he looked to see if Carlton player was going to strip the ball. When he looked back saw Adams' arm was in a vulnerable position and then let go"

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
