Well here is a 2nd.

At least his GWS team hasn't been beaten by 186

They've only been in the comp 5 minutes. Get back to me when they've notched 150 years and we can compare worst, best, etc. but I'm tipping by then they'll have gone the way of University.

Wait 'til the snide remarks and jealous whispers about him starts in the changerooms from his teammates, if it hasn't already.

The whole thing has the potential to be hugely destabilizing through their playing list.

And don't forget about his old man - that situation could really [censored] players off (if he's still getting paid under the cap, of course).

The bulldogs got stiffed Ward is a gun, Scully legacy will forever be the highest paid biggest underachieving worst AFL player ever, the name T Scully will for ever be that of the player who took the money and run and this will last forever in Football circles, was it really worth it Tom?

Wow Scully collecting 39 possies against the bulldogs was lifetime ago.

Hate the bastard and as l knew all along he is the most overrated player in the history of the game...........good on ya Sheeds, you dropkick

Even the mighty Stan Alves and Mark Maclure would bang on about Tom after some of our 2010 wins. Unfortunately, Tom hasn't lived up to his expectations; fortunately for him, he has become a wealthy man at a young age.

He was too young to bluff his way through 2010, he is a footballer not a PR man. Still, his pantomine messed with our club and helped undo steadily improving performances. We have come out of the experience somewhat 'sullied' but have the afl's draft picks in our saddlebags, and have used the tom money wisely to secure a player who does live up to his reputation.

No doubt Tom Leaving hurt us not so much because we lost him but in terms of this year we haven't gained anything on the field for loosing him. There is no doubt come the end of the year we have the chance to rectify all of this and hopefully we can say thank god he left because we gained so much more. Gotta feel for the doggies though GWS and GC got a knife and gutted the doggies list. Thanks AFL ya knobs.

Interesting to watch the body language during their Freo game. Although being pummelled there was a lot of fight and spirit as a team by GWS. But starkly contrasted by Tom who appeared no different from his disinterested softish efforts in his final few games for us season. Something is already simmering there I believe.

Good. Have you expressed your thoughts on the GWS forum, when you were traded there ?

I was permanently banned from there, thats why I'm back.

I'm loyal to Demonland. No amount of falafel will see me move.

I love the irony of this thread (and I'm not immune!), when many of us are banging on about how T Cloke should pull on a Melbourne jumper in return for bucketloads of cash.

If Scully had proven himself to be a gun then win us a flag and be one of the top players in his position and then was offered a million a year it wouldn't bother me as much as a bloke who had done nothing, produced nothing and most importantly won nothing and then skipped town for money he doesn't deserve and hasn't earned.

Just could not quite fit in there. I was on the nose when I insisted that Range Rovers were better than Skodas. And that their falafels were overpriced and not as tasty as those found in Broadmeadows. That was the final straw that broke the camels back.

Cloke was pivotal to Collingwood in their premiership year (and in their premiership defence - aware they didn't win but they got close)

He's been AA, he's been a B&F winner, he cost them bugger all at pick 39 under the F/S rule

If Scully had given us 7 years and helped us to a flag or two - I would've packed his bags and paid for his plane ticket

Stupid thread moaning over scully...get over it and move on

Nope, not getting over it.

Too boring for you? Don't reply please and I'll return the favour.

Get over it Jumbo!!

For heavens sake Scully did the correct thing moving to GWS. Who cares anymore?? You obviously loved him otherwise you wouldn't sulk so much. Scully is still a kid same as Trengove. He'll be good don't worry about that.

This is probably the most used expression/thought on this forum, right behind "don't like Scully threads? Don't open them!"

Not to mention he lied his ring hole off all year about it - that's what annoys me the most.

What annoys me is the thought he might have stayed

Imagine we were paying him $650 large for 5 years and he was playing like shyte

Can you imagine the threads that would be on here?

Nope, definitely dodged one very big bullet

It's a very good point daisycutter but doesn't change the fact that he's a lying filthbag.

Don't be annoyed Harcourt. He didn't lie either. Made of his mind at the end of the Season just as he said he would. He's a kid. Big Bucks on offer would of been mad to stay at Melbourne.

And perhaps no Clark ?!

Not moaning. In a year where everything has gone wrong (has any club had a worse series of events without even mentioning the heavy injury list?), it gives some relief to many of us to put the boot into Scully and to think we may have dodged a bullet etc.

We enjoy talking about it in a year where there is little enjoyment.

And to those who endlessly post about our hypocrisy in throwing big bucks at Clarke or Cloake, the complaint is not that Scully went for $, it is the timing and manner of his doing so that irks.

Oh no...HT is gone...

We support HT all the way. We will honor his contract

Stupid thread moaning over scully...get over it and move on

We Scully haters consider ourselves a bit like the Simon Wisenthal Centre.

It may be a long time ago but we refuse to let it go.

If that is a politically incorrect comment then swap it for an old digger who survived Changhi and wont forgive the Japanese .

Either way ,the 31 jumper is tainted forever with disgrace .

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
