Hell never be our best mid again, he dosen't run well enough, but we are desperate for midfielders, for experience and strength. Surely the bombers won't pay anything for him, he's certainly not in there best midfield. I suspect he'll get a better offer at MFC than anywhere else because of our weak midfield. I suspect he'll be offered a bit Less than his previous contract, from us. I reckon he'll find better offers elsewhere.

I love that Beamer is a hard core Demon at heart. Did anyone see him collecting autographs at the 150 year function in 2008? I would also love him to finish his career at Melbourne and spend the rest of his life fondly remembering the Dees and being remembered by the Dees and fans. It would be a pity to see him wind up doing a Bruce and leaving in a huff then tooling around in another team's rezzies, or following Junior (Demon royalty) to the newbies, and thus diluting his legacy. (I don't know what to make of his time at Geelong vis-a-vis his career.)

The thing is, like several Demon players over recent years, he is a bit of a flat track bully. I cannot remember him playing a good game in a big game.

With the talk of his manager fielding offers from other clubs does anyone know if we have actually offered him a contract for next season. Maybe that's what they were looking for in the first place (his management), I haven't heard of an offer or ongoing contract talks, the club may well be holding back.

A lot less than it was 12 mths ago, which makes the next contract negotiation difficult for the Club and him. He would be wanting a good deal based upon perceived potential, not upon current form.

Thanks for saving me the trouble. As a poker player he sucks. If you try to bluff, better have something behind it because if you're called you look a tad silly

It's hard to remember any of our players having 'Good' games in 'Big games' in the last 5 and a half years . It's often hard to come up with 4 or 5 'Pass marks' in a lot of our games against good opposition . That's the reality when the team gets smashed

I'd like to see a list of our players who have consistently done well in 'Big games' in the last 5 and a half years . Even a list of those who do well in 1 out of 3 games would be interesting . The 1st list would be empty and the 2nd list would contain less than a handful IMO .

As an example , let's look at our 13 losses last year . Did any of our players have 4 or 5 good games in these 13 losses? A good game should include winning your position and/or beating your opponent (but not always) .

It's easy to point the finger at one bloke but it's a team game and more than a few need to cop their fair share in a loss (especially a bad loss)

Brent Moloney Has got the most out of himself in his AFL footy career

and quite possibly most out of his life at this point as a professional sportsman, I might also add he is a genuine Bloke who takes time to talk to the common man, something some players find very difficult!

So can a new role for Brent not be successful eventually ? I would say there are probably about 15 - 20 on our list who are struggling with their new roles . Do we rule a line through all of them as well ?
